Cutting the first part of the new 4wheeler trail. Taking a good look at this years garden and how it is doing. I dig up one potato plant so we can have some new potatoes with lunch and see how they are doing. Exploring the other side of the property for the next trail. Lots of awesome Farmhouse Cooking.

A good trail management tool is some old tires bolted together and drag them through the bush once in a while, also works great in the winter to smooth a trail down like a groomer.

We used an old fence dragged behind with tires for weights. At leas the tires wouldn’t get as many snags as a fence, so probably a much better option

Eternabond hands down the best sealer. When you replace those vents do yourself a big favor and look into their products. Clean and prep and apply and its good to go for a long long time. I have used both the tape and caulk ( the caulk is not silicone) and it has lasted at least 12 to 14 years now.

Just as something to consider, if those cucumbers and zucchini from the garden grow too large to eat, don’t just throw them away! Years ago I planted a huge garden and it just got away from me and out of control! We lived in a dairy community and the farmer down the road would chuckle over my attempts! At any rate he took them back with him and fed them to his cows! They had quite the healthy diet that year! That might help you!

For future reference, if you ever open a laptop like that, the very, very first thing you should do is disconnect the battery from the motherboard before you start disconnecting anything else. If one of those screws fell off the driver onto the motherboard, it could have fried the whole machine.

Have a King Of the Road 32'er and had to replace those same vent covers. They are the most common and cheapest one you can find. Just need an extra long square and phillips drivers. Dewalt has a long shaft kit that works the best. Put a new polly carb dome over the shower then went around them with a sticky backed rubber roofing that you can get from Knects. Use a heat gun and it is better than the roofing on the camper. There is a part number inside on the vent frame and also in the info packet that came with the camper.

when confronted with a hard drive problem on a computer, one thing that is really useful for determining the status of a hard drive is to keep a USB external hard drive enclosure, pull the drive out of that laptop, put it in the enclosure and see if your other computer will even recognize the drive.

Great Video Joe! Been watching since the beginning. I don't normally comment but my brain wouldn't let me not comment. I have owned several campers and still do own one, Replaced the whole roof last summer in brother-in-law barn. The 'Lap Siding caulk" that comes on the roof from factory (or that you put on to reseal) is complete "JUNK". It will fail again in a very short time. As I said before I replaced the whole roof on a 2006 Jayco 29' bunkhouse camper. I found a product named "EternaBond Tape" this is by far the best product to use on a camper when trying to prevent water from infiltrating into camper. Like the name says. You better have it lined up the first time because once it goes down it's down. It is very expensive ($1.00 a foot for 6" wide roll) but how much is your time worth, having to get onto roof every year and reseal caulking. Not to mention, how much damage was done with water infiltrating before it was resealed. I basically had 10' of my roof rafters and studding in the front of the camper rotted out and didn't even know it. (couldn't tell from the inside). Anyway, just thought you or someone else might be interested in another alternative to lap siding caulk.

Hi Joe and Melissa. Joe I know you have limited space at places on the trail you're cutting but maybe you could use the brush hog/ bush hog at some of the more open areas and cut the underbrush. Wow, Joe’s also an IT pro! Make sure you back up the data on Melissa’s laptop while you still can. When, not if, it eventually fails, you can always reinstall the programs to a new system. Once you lose the data on, or access to, the hard drive, it’s much harder to recover. I’m sure you know this but, hey, here’s my 2 cents!

The red potatoes looked inviting going on the grill. I liked boiling mine 'til tender, drain water off. I would have a casserole dish ready with a block of butter, a diced onion over top of the butter, with fresh parsley chopped up on top of the onion. I pored the potatoes on top of the pile, put lid on, let it steep, then, toss & serve. "Parsley'd Potatoes". I'm glad they did well. The whole garden did look really nice. Lamb is a rare find here in Independence, Va. Have a nice week at work. I hope Melissa gets to feeling better. The trail will be a lot of work, but will be worth it.

Get a little Mantis rototiller, much smaller than the larger ones. It will allow you to get into narrow spaces between plants to keep the weeds down. If you keep after it before the grass and weeds get huge it will make your life a bit easier. Also, you can make "cow tongue" pickles out of the large/huge zucchinis by slicing them thin longways (to look like a cow's tongue). Use a mandolin to do the slicing for uniformity. There are many recipes on line for you to follow.
