Thank you for an unexpected but extremely valuable insight into an industry that I, as an old, cis-white, queer academic who is ANYTHING but physically attractive would not have appreciated. As someone who does appreciate handsome men for more than their erotic potential, I sense but have avoided the reality that they are, I suspect, used by those at the top but not respected. I wish you well and hope you have success in exposing this sad legacy and keep working.

I don’t know anything about the fashion industry but I do know that the tolerance between straight and gay men is getting worse and worse. I’m really bad at explaining stuff but I feel like at one point people who were gay was kind of the norm. Like you weren’t judged you weren’t given better or worse treatment it was the same both ways. But the more the media talks about it they make this whole topic very divisive. As a straight conservative male I never had problems with gays. In fact I walkways went out of my way to look into hearing their sides on things and that’s one reason I found your channel. But when you have stuff in the news like a sports player dosnt wear gay pride jersey because of religion and attack the sports player it makes everyone on his side that much more against the gay community. I just feel like the media is always that thing that is constantly dividing us. Like I listen to conservative and both liberal news stations and they always make it seem like the other side is the enemy and they want to destroy this country but in reality some of my best friends are liberals and even though we disagree on stuff we still love each other. So you can blame straight men for fashion company’s not hiring gays or whatever but I don’t think the straight men are your problem.

All right, Barrett ...as an ALLY, what can I do to really help change things. I feel my little girl ,who is 12 , with a 25 year old soul, and is unapologetically bisexual, has got this. Her generation is all over this change. Use proper pronouns, or she will have a sit down, and explain things ☺️I am so proud of her! Kids her age don't feel any shame, in who they are. They shouldnt. I know educating people is the best way. Some people CAN learn. I am 53. I have always been open minded with every human being. But there are some that didn't get it. I have always tried not to get angry. That's playing into it. But it gets hard. I've bought masks, pins, bracelets, made bracelets, socks, stickers, ohhhh my first pair of vans...rainbow colored🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗, I've got shirts, necklaces. LGBTQ+ and BLM and Stop asian Hate! Whew 🥵🥵🥵I know it takes more than ephemera. I learn at from tw of my favorite tik tokers, Eli and Aiden. VERY OPEN!
