I have this car and I hate it. 2016 and the air went completely out the water pump went out, the car over heated and melted off a pipe. Plus other things.... I've probably put more into the car than what I still own. I would recommend nobody to buy this style of Buick. I loved the color of this vehicle and that's what I get for loving this shit Brown Car. Thanks so much for this video and I'm a new subscriber as of today. New Orleans, Louisiana 💜💚💛⚜️📿🎭🎺🎷🎹 Happy Mardi Gras Y'all

UGGGGHHH. Same. I have a 2014 encore. Nothing but coolant problems... And constantly have to replace or work on it. After the 5th repair I paid a mechanic for I said SCREW it, I have started working on it now and REFUSE to pay thousands of dollars Everytime... Now I'm having to change out the radiator as whoever designed this vehicle is a F*#@!?$ idiot and decided to put plastic components where the upper radiator hose connects to the radiator. It's completely dry rotted and breaking apart into pieces. To the point I now cannot leave home until the new radiator comes in.... Just over this car... Don't even think I could trade it in for anything... Cause there's constantly something wrong with it....

I bought my 2016 new in 2017… I just did a drain n fill at 44,173… looked not quite that bad but it wasn’t a nice red…mine had no leaks and I did it stone cold… put back in exactly what I drained out…there is a fill site check bolt hole on the side of that trans.. IMO, if I was suspect of current level, I woulda filled stone cold with that site plug out till it started dripping out of that..
@HotRodDave2 жыл бұрын
Most have a plug in the side that don't have a dipstick but the ones I have done require the trans fluid a specific temperature and it takes forever to get it there and if you don't have a scan tool to read it you are screwed.

@Matthew-RSa10 ай бұрын
I have a concern that these are somewhat overfilled from the factory and using this method keeps the transmission overfilled. I just performed a simple drain/fill on a 2016, and I found that using the proper GM technique, (level on lift, TFT at 185, idling, etc.) and using the top plug for the proper level, it only accepted a little over 4 quarts, even though almost 5 drained out.

Hi David this is Joe My encor2013 I cannot find a dipstick. I noticed when it’s going down the road 55 60 miles an hour it started doing like skip like a tire going over something on a very smooth road. Now it’s got 82,000 miles I wonder if the transmission oil is no good. I am going to change oil and see if it’s still doing it. Do you have any ideas. Thanks
@HotRodDave2 жыл бұрын
Start with servicing the trans and hope for the best. There is not a dipstick thats why I measure what comes out
@kingdon96907 күн бұрын
How did it go? My wife's is now doing that but even shifting from 2nd to 3rd it hesitates then will kick into next gear than smooth from 4th to 6th. When you stop and go it will buck like the tires are skidding on pavement. It only happens after driving for like 20 minutes.

Most of them do that now. I was told because they don't want the consumer to mess with it. They had a problem with people putting the wrong fluid in them I guess.

Some transmissions have to be warm enough to open up the internal thermostat before you can use the sight plug . That's why I made this video. Most people don't have a scanner to read trans temp and will not fill it to the proper level.
