It all started with street racers , and now are special agents with super human skills . Oh my god , this franchise was very simple with all this , and it gets more weird . I love it so much 💪💪💪

@spartanx169x

This was not the beginning of a culture, it highlighted the end of one. Street racing(which has been going on since the late 40s) has only declined since this movie, just as interest in all forms of motorsports is in decline. The younger generations would rather watch youtube or make videos for youtube/tick toc. Most guys 35 years and younger can't tell the difference between an inline-6, inline 4 and a V6. AND could not change the oil on a car or even check the oil level if their life depended on it.
@sir_christmas_leopold_duckson

@@spartanx169x It was kinda both. The tuner scene didn't really exist on the east coast before this movie came out. You are right, though, about the younger generation not knowing anything anymore. It's mostly kids with mommy and daddy money who bought their cars already built by someone else and care more about looking good on their Instagram than they do about the cars. I stopped going to meets years ago now.
@TravisWiley1983
@TravisWiley1983 6 ай бұрын
@@spartanx169x How much can an 18 year old afford compared to even 25 years ago? They don't even have drivers ed in high school anymore and insurance companies are ripping off parents as soon as kids get a permit. Prices for everything are out of control. When I get my license I could have got a beater project car for a grand, how the hell is some kid going to do that easily today? The only people that can do this are either boomers, rich/upper middle class or people who dedicate their whole life to cars/wrenching and leave little room for anything else.

@@spartanx169x Maybe because they increased fines and law enforcement after this movie was released. You would have to be crazy to try anything like this with the amount of speed cameras and AI detection systems we have nowadays. These shit boxes popped up everywhere. People would by ones that looked like shit, throw that stupid ass exhaust on them and it was the classic what they think they look like compared to what they actually look like pictures, lol. We do the car shows went to a Nopi in Missouri and Florida. Some people did these rice cars right and they were legit, but most were just embarrassing. All that being said, it sure ushered in a fun little era that won't be repeated again. Also, the first fast and the furious was the best IMO

In the late 80's / early 90's I loved to do that drive on PCH through Malibu. Of course it was never that open (typically jammed up on a weekend). But at times you could open it up, especially after you get past Paradise Cove area. I had an 88 Acura Integra (1.6l DOHC, 5 spd stick) and it was basically a Civic Si with a bigger body. It was low and quick, and handled great. I had a lot of fun in that car (and a few tickets as well). I had more fun driving around the backside of Palos Verdes with all the curves, that's how I know the car handled so well.

I live near pch it usally isn’t as packed during the weekdays but during the weekend it’s a joke to even try going thru there . Especially when you get closer to Santa Monica. But I see what you mean. Especially now with all the construction that’s going on down there. It kinda narrow roads now and i believe they are trying to put sidewalks now where dirt paths used to be where people can pull up and park on the side of the beach which kinda sucks. I hope they don’t turn the whole coast line into a damn side walk path

The funniest thing about this scene, is that while everything else in the film is so crazily overblown this is the only scene that actually makes the tuner car look weaker than normal and the Ferrari stronger. Has anyone else noticed that from story line to the actors vibes..this film is a total rip of 'Point break', just changing boards for cars?

The movies always had heists. The first movie was about heists people think it was only about racing for some reason

but the cars and the races were what made the movies unique. w.o the cars n races, it just become another soulless generic hollywood action flick which is exactly what it's become. no one's saying to get rid of the heists. But at the very least bring back the focus on the cool cars and races.

Started with this and the fith was the real end, simple story with cars and action, for respect, the last movie needs to return to the roots.

@SebastianCaceres-ct2cw definitely. I think it was supposed to be but they changed their mind if you watch the credits the way they put old scenes together just seems that way. But when lettys back. Hans there he hadn't left just yet. Brian and the baby. They shoulda just left it at that. I like 7 okay but haven't seen the newer ones

That F355 needed a mandatory engine drop after filming this scene because they stretched the timing belts out and bent the copper valve guides 🤣

this is so much more enjoyable then these physics defying feats of cars flying out of airplanes, jumping through bridges and catching onto grappling hooks, jumping in between cars through windows and all that other high flying mission impossible bullshit. i wish FnF got back to the cars and races. after Fast n Furios 4, the movies just lost their soul and became like every hollywood action sequence. hell. they could've replaced the characters with anyone and it would have been the same movie. but the first 4 FnFs are just timeless
