thank you. i like the palomar but i sometimes have difficulty with it on the water. what i use most lately is the trilene knot. where you go through the hook eye twice, i go up to four times for heavy applications, then tie an improved clinch on top of that.

I’m pretty new to fishing (bass). I used to fish with my Dad, but that’s when I was a teenager. Disclaimer aside, what’s that type of swivel for? I tried a “snap” type, but didn’t care for it. It was harder to get the thing closed than just to tie the line directly to the lure.

I use this one too, have been using for decades. I was taught 5-7 twists, and then back through the top, but I can tell that the 10 twists provide the same benefit here. Matter of preference, I guess. 5-7 with braid might be OK, but 5 with no top loop pass runs the risk of pulling out.

Thats called the clinch knot, 5 turns are the strongest, and the improved clinch knot is even better for line under 30lbs

this knot loosens easily, you have to put the short end also through the back loop and then tighten it, it will never loosen again.

@@chuckchucky8781 of course. But there is more than 1 way to tie one. This way just makes it easy. For instances rotating your finger around like this is easy. I have always placed my middle finger in-between the lines and twisted the line around with my index finger and thumb. I like the way in the video more.

저도 이 매듭법을 사용 하는데 똑같지만 더 빠른 방법이 있습니다. 그냥 도레 구멍에 줄 넣고 거기서 바로 두줄 겹쳐진 상태로 잡고 한쪽으로 돌려 꼬이게 하고 줄을 영상 처럼 똑같이 넣습니다. 감성돔 낚시 하는데 3초면 도레에 묶는건 가능 하게 되죠

This is a different way to tie the clinch knot, not the uni knot. In the uni knot, the tag end ends up laying back against the running line, not against the hook eye as you see in this clinch knot.
