8:45 Fenglope can jump up god damn vertical cliffs. He jumps even higher than the legendary who has a triple jump. Fenglope is the only ground mount you need for speed & traversal - until post game.

Arguably even post game he's good since he has the best base stats(besides Kitsun but Kitsuns speed is so bad) compared to any ground mount. I clear level 45 dungeons with ease with my Fenglope that has Runner, Swift, Legend, and Musclehead.

@@BroAttackInc56 to get legend on any pal, you have to catch a legendary and then breed it. Since legendaries are rare, it's usually not that hard aside from catching the legendary, but there's a ton of sites with the list of breeding combinations, Palpedia, palworld gg, genshinlab, all useful for different things.

Fenglope is easily the best ground mount. I have one with Legend, Runner, Swift, and Musclehead for extra attack. His move "cloud tempest" let's you glide through the skies too, it's insane. And he's my favorite cave exploring since I don't even need to get off of him at all.

@@alexandersveryown4760 His jump can actually be TOO much in some caves. Sometimes the next room entrance is a couple feet up, but jumping will bonk the ceiling so you have to aim a bit to actually get through.

TLDR(W): Fenglope Edit: damn(9:51), no mention of Fenglope on the jump test & cave runs? Fenglope can jump as high as Rayhound & can go through caves easily, so easily that you don't even have to get off of it once. You can jump through everything. Not to mention Fenglope has his "cloud tempest"(I think that's what it's called?) move that can let you traverse mountain to mountain and basically glide through the air. He also has the best stats of any ground mount that isn't a legendary. Fenglopes base stats: 110 base HP 110 base Atk 90 base Def. Compared to Rayhounds: 90 base HP 100 base Atk 80 base Def. Only other ground mount that can compare in terms of stats is a Kitsun but that pal is very slow.

Fenglope is the best simply because it gets the highest jump, there is no alternative. The jump is so good that you don't need any flying mount.

Fenglope can jump on top of 3 block tall structures. He ALMOST clears a 4 block but not quite. Also his unique active ability can be used to great effect either as a dash on the ground, or to launch off of mountains and zip across half the map, which is somewhat easy to do given his insane jump.

yep posted the same thing. too many people sell Fenglope short as they are just looking at the base speed numbers in isolation. Once you take into account the verticality and number of jumps you are going to have to make over canyons Fenglope becomes my #1

I love Fenglope, easily the most versatile traversal ground mount in the game. But I can't sell the regular deer short. That rush cooldown is practically non-existent compared to Fenglope's. Sometimes Fenglope's a is a bit too overbearing. But it depends on the terrain. Kinda wish I could take Eikthyrdeer into dungeons honestly.

Kinda disappointed you didn't talk about Fenglope almost at all, it's such an amazing mount. You also didn't do any alpha vs non-alpha tests, and while it may be a phantom effect, I always felt like I was jumping higher on my alpha Fenglope than a normal one, which with its incredible speed and jump height and double jump, lets me clear such crazy distances.

Everyone focuses on Fenglope because he blows everyone out of the water. Austin didn’t even test Fenglope’s jump in this video & he has the highest jump by a mile. Not only that, like Eithkyrdeer he has a charge skill which greatly boosts his speed next to other mounts. Fenglope is the ground mount everyone should pursue unless they just want a different mount for appearance, or some other utility outside of speed.

my current favorite is direhowl for the reasons mentioned in this video, but i've also had fun riding maraith, which i hatched from a small dark egg, i think. it's not as fast but still speedy, the hoppy gait is just kinda fun and it has a pretty high jump.

I love direhowl as an early mount. He's not only fast, he also has a respectable 110 base atk stat. So he still becomes useful as a fighting companion while you scale through levels, gathering more pals.

I use Rushroar to farm ore, then have a Direhowl to help carry the ore to the chest or fast travel with fierce fang since it doesn’t slow the boost even if you’re carrying to much

Really good video with good comparisons of numbers. Sad Fenglope wasn't highlighted more glad the comments are mentioning it, Fenglope is by far the greatest ground mount, possibly even compared to legends. Fenglope double jump is nearly better than some of the slower flyers. If you use the cloud tempest ability off a cliff, you can use your second double jump in the air and go such an insane distance it feels like cheating. Also it fits through caves. Also idk what exactly it is, I think it's something to do with the FOV, but Fenglope just feels faster than Rayhound. I have swift/runner/nimble versions of both and the combo of the egregious double jump + my assumed fov difference makes Fenglope feel like a sports car and Rayhound is a 98 civic

Kind of sad you didn't compare the double jump pals, and that triple jump pal... I was always curious if fenelope would out jump even that triple jump guy or not. I also felt you spent too much time talking/factoring in tech lv... If you just sorted by "walk speed" / "sprint speed" / "walk range" / "sprint range" it would of showed most the audience what they were looking for (while showing the tech level column) and they could easily just pause/scroll down the tech level column till they find something their level if they want to exclude says the 40-50 pals; the tech columns you made are pretty useless for most people unless they are like lv16, as soon as they hit 25/30/35 the tech columns basically become useless... Also it wasn't clear why Pyrin didn't have any LV0/LV4 beside their name, he is combinable no? Can you share your google docs? Would love to play around with the filters on a copy ;)

I think Fenglope jumps higher than Rayhound. Not sure if the passives has an effect on double jumps, but I have a Swift Runnner Nimble Fenglope and it easily jumps over defensive walls.

its pretty easy to look at numbers in isolation however the level of verticality for most of the map in addition to relative spacing of fast travel points shifts around some of the priorities. Personally I use Fenglope as it has a double jump with the highest verticality in the game meaning I can clear obstacles that other mounts would have to glider over or climb up from. Its slower in a straight line than the wolves but for exploration it will get you were you are going faster in most cases. I will however give a shoutout to Univolt and eventually Pyrin. Both add elemental damage on the players attacks so if you stack a Sparkit/Roobie to further boost it you can supercharge grinding starting at level 14.

Should've included fenglope crazy jump. They can jump 3 almost 4 wall height. Jumping between island jumping vertically on mountain. A lot of times i even do a yoshi strat where i sprint and jump and unmount then glide to gain ridiculous amount of horizontal movement in the air. And then their special skill cloud tempest that can gain and absurd amount of speed and movement while also can be used to regain their stamina if not holded. Fenglope is also weirdly almost never stuck on dungeon despite his huge ass horn while the deer stuck all the time Honestly should talk more about their special skill and jump. this is also why i use the deer instead of wolf superior jump height and skill

Arsox is great. Look cool as hell. No slouch in a fight. Small enough to be ridden through caverns. Lights up caverns while riding him. His only real downside besides being a not so fast is his craptastic jump. But, it's good enough, most of the time.

Much respect for actually playing the game and not just hating the game because it could be competition to Pokemon when we have needed adult Pokemon aka Palworld for so long! Plus it's great for consumers when there's competition cause then companies like the pokemon company are forced to get off there lazy asses and put some effort into there games! Palworld is not perfect but it's a very strong base game to start off with a Pokemon game like this minus the guns maybe give you a sling shot and that would be awesome. The reason I say this cause I see a lot of pokemon KZbinrs getting so damn salty over this game you could make salt and vinegar chips with it!.

You should also take into account that the higher level you have the harder it is to level up, which translates to exponentially more time playing as a 35+ level character than what it takes you to get to level 35 for example

Taking into account a lot of people don't use breeding to get certain Pals until a much later level, Rayhound while having a tech level of 26 can't be found below level 30 or 31 if I'm correct. Purely based off of catching, I think Fenglope would be a bit higher up seeing it can be caught as a level 25 boss. Rayhound also lacks a movement ability, Fenglope's charge attack makes it move at an insane speed (though I don't know if this scales with upgrade/speed level)

I love my max condensed nimble, runner, swift Rayhound. Wish I had legend on it, but I havent caught any pals with that trait yet. But even if I did I dont think it'd be worth the investment unless I was making a max necromus. I just like going fast, my Rayhound is basically a flying pal, I can make it to all three sanctuaries with both of us alive (she does take a lil bit of damage)
