It feels so much faster since you dont have 2 spark arrestors and a baffle in the exhaust like the stock silencer. Also no airbox grommet. The last 2 years during shootouts the test riders talk about how slow the kx is but they leave all the stock emission regulation stuff that restricts the bike but is free to remove.

JUST GOTTA LOVE ,STEEPER head angle fork, GET A CHAIN THAT IS 2 OR 4 LINKS LONGER, MOVING the rear tire back a couple of marks & drop the ride height a bit with the shock sag . Also might want a heavy flywheel weight . 😅Every KAWASAKI I ever purchased has always had the HORSE POWER and THAT WILL ALWAYS CAUSE A LOT more SMILES 😁. KAWASAKI LETS THE GOOD TIMES ROLL .

love to see a dyno vs the previous SR models...It makes me think Kawi made the normal model a bit vanilla on the power side for a reason and thats to push people who bleed green to purchase the SR. Kaw knows 100% how to make power so the 24+ are vanilla for a reason simple as that. Side note, a friend of mine has a 24' and he velocity ported his head and i havent ridden it but I have seen it go and the difference is insane. That tells me they either wanted to offer a ultra smooth package for people who live in the mid rpm or those who dont roll off the gas much orrrr they built it this way to funnel people to the SR.

If this suspension is anything like my Honda 450 Works Edition, it took 5 to 10 hours just for the suspension to break in fully. And then all of my adjustments needed to be different at that time.

Is there a way to determine whether it’s the fork valving (assuming it is in fact valved differently from the production model) as opposed to the possible increase in rigidity offered by the X-Trig clamps?

I thought the x trig allows more flex not more rigid

@@stevesmith756 yeah, it could be one of those cases where making the component stiffer actually introduces comfort? Like the move they made with the Honda frame. The opposing clamp design does let the fork tubes flex more, but I’m not sure what the changes to the webbing in the clamp itself is doing.

Sure its good, but you spent a lot of time talking about a $14K bike. Sure, we'd all like to know the ins and outs of an expensive Ferrari, but bottom line is, its just too expensive. Its hard to take it seriously.
