What a great upload. Many of these young guys likely grew up watching their fathers work on cars during the late 1990s and early 2000s, a time when those vehicles were much cheaper and common to see. The car scene during that era was insane. Take me back.

Nostalgia in this video is off tap lad I miss that shit. Takes me back to late 90's early 2k's before migrating to the GC. One of the things i miss about NZ is the car scene. I would always pull into greenlane carwash then head into town, bastion point then mission bay. The car scene in the early 2000’s was literally better then going out clubbing🤣

That gas station and stretch of roads been apart of the car scene in akl for years, Queen st/Wiri/Quay/Neilson st/Puketu/Roscommon/The Gravel pit/Harris rd/East tamaki/Rotor corner was where it was at on a friday/sat, Gridlocked type sh1t, Convoy's deep late 90's early 00's if you were lacking at the gas station while the convoy's leaving you would have to hunt it down otherwise early night, no way of communication, wild times Host's shoulda taken ya to rotor corner

Petrol is expensive compared to Aus. But we also don’t get tolled, also our annual registration fees are under $100. And as insurance isn’t compulsory, we don’t get extorted like you do over in Oz. Averages out.

Mean video bro! Back in 2010 all the street guys including myself got trespassed from 28 locations all over Auckland to simply stop us parking up. Back in the day if you were in the first group of cars to leave the city you could be at the next spot for an hour before the end of drag train shows up. Would race to daylight, Friday, sat, sun and then skids out west on wednesdays. Shit was fucken loose
