I just find it more fun and somewhat fulfilling to max a town hall before moving on to the next. Of course I might have some traps or canon levels to go but I’ll almost never go to the next town hall without having at least 95% of the current one maxed out. I used to rush and just ended up quitting the game constantly, probably have quit and come back 6 or 7 times by now, but ever since I started actually maxing my base before moving on to the next level, I haven’t quit and this has been my longest time playing by far

Idk but one thing you should realise. The end goal of coc is *NOT*: 1. To go to the next TH the fastest- There is a bit of learning curve as when people spend time on a Townhall, it get's to know various strategies, game mechanics and etc. This only comes with experience, afterall, you will not learn How to attack at Townhall 15 right? 2. Get the best value out of Magic Items: Let's say this, best value for magic items isn't said in your video. Let me say it, best value will come only at TH 16, so should we skip every part and just rush blindly/ strategically just so we can make sure we get the best use of Magic items? We get them frequently, so that's really not much of an issue. 3. HEROES!!!!! OMG people are going crazy after seeing that Hero equipments are separated from Heroes. The so called 'rushing' and it's promoters are now saying to only upgrade Equipments and not Heroes ..... Why? A level 65 Queen with Level 15 Invisibility Vial is obviously far better than a Level 40 queen with level 15 Invisibility Vial. A short question to end all the debate, the amount of Damage a Max hero can do, will effectively save time as well as it will clear out the building faster, with definitely lesser chances of Time FAIL!! A hero potion is a potent solution, but for how long? Having maxed out heros is always a good thing, it will make you attack at any moment potentially and even save your defences!! 4. Equipments: Ores will come only with time, the more time you spend on a particular TH, the more ore you'll get (star bonuses, cwls, etc.) and this will effectively enable you to get more upgrades to Hero equipments. 5. Walls:) They are not that useless, and secondly, they instantly make a base look more difficult to crack. Further, it won't be that good to look at your base when it's TH 14 and walls are only level 10 or 12. I get the point, upgrading core defences is important, but that doesn't means one should literally ignore other aspects of the game, further, rushing is rushing, no matter which word you use. The end goals are not what I've stated People might say I'm salty because I'm a maxxer and I hate rushers progressing faster in game, then that's clearly not the case. I have 2 accounts, one is Carefully rushed TH 14 (will be going to TH 15 in 1.5 months approximately) And one completely maxed TH 12. With the experience I would say, Maxing TH 12 was a lot fun. Further, I would need to go only 10 levels on heroes while going on Th 13 and will keep one builder purely for my RC No one would give you these tips, as it will have low engagement and probably the latter option is better. initially I rushed to th12 for the siege workshop, but i never knew about strategic rushing so i got very fed up with my account and stopped playing it so seriously. i figured i may as well go up to th13 at that point and focused on recovering the account. I had low level heroes (before the hero potion update) and low troop levels but i started with sneaky goblins and basically used that army for 6m-1yr until i was able to get my account back on track. Now currently sitting at th13 with about 10 more levels to go on each hero with no more offensive upgrades left. Im planning on going one th level at a time once i get maxed to prevent any more burnout. Rushing is really only for hardcore players with more time than others to play the game in my opinion.

Strategic rushing also assumes you're getting a book of building and whatnot every month and wasting them by not getting higher in townhalls, but if you're not buying the pass you get one every few in months in clan games that you're not really wasting anything I'm kinda hijacking your comment instead of writing my own but BDLegend's videos about "not wasting time/resources" and "fastest way to upgrade" are all the same and aren't really worth it unless you farm a lot and buy the battle pass it's sad because the videos he makes about equipments and such are really good and high quality

Honestly, with the potion rework, even if you don't "strategic" rush and just plain rush, you progress much faster. With the potion, you get your maximum th potential for attacks. So, i don't get the burnout thingy. You can attack with potions, what are you burnout about? Step 1. Just log in during wars and gulp your potions then do your attacks. Ran out of potions, proceed to step 2. Step 2 - Log in during clan raids and attack. Repeat. Simple.

1 every few months? You should be getting 2-3 magic items per month minimum as free to play just counting CWL and clan games. That doesn’t even include what you spend your gems on or special events that come out. Every month you’ll be saving at least a week off of your time to max but it’s really more than that,which will stack up if you plan to play this game until you max,which takes years.

@@tyronwoodleysmouthguard7114 My guy, you got a book of building last clan games, we're getting a book of fighting the next one, you'll rarely get two of the same books that'd force you to spend one a new player would def save his gems for 5 builders, and there's nothing worth buying for gems in the shop except ores which their value doesn't change by townhalls instead you should save gems for events like the goblin one that lets you get double the research potion value and such cwl medals you aren't forced to spend, you can buy one of every medal and save them till they're worth using there's literally 0 reason for strategic rushing unless you're a farming maniac or buy the gold pass

When you say don’t use magic items, do building potions and research potions count in this case??

Each builder potion saves you 9 hours per builder (since they work x10 faster) regardless of the required construction time an upgrade has. So as long as you have all your builders busy, they're fine to use! Maybe if you have 4 builders and are close to the 5th, you could wait on using them till you have 5 builders, for more value. But other than that they can be even better than books at lower TH levels, since the upgrade times are small and using a book would be overkill. Likewise, 1 research potion will always save you 1 day on lab upgrades, no matter what your TH level is. So I'd say it's always ok to use them while your builders/lab are upgrading something! I usually use them to space my upgrades better: if I'm playing in the evening and a 9~ or less hours upgrade would finish in the middle of the night, causing me to lose some hours of building time because I'm asleep, I pop a builder potion so that upgrade can finish while I'm still playing, and I can start another before going to sleep. Hope I worded it in an understandable way :)

yes strategic rushing is crazy. there's a 80% chance regardless of your defences you will be 3 starred on defence - I've gone from th1 to town hall 10 in 14 days - Im on the way to 11 as we speak - i have 5 builders - I spend about £10 on packs. Primarily on builder potions. All my walls. are maxed. Theres allot in my laboritory that isnt maxed however im stacking up raid medals and leauge token things so i can mass buy research potions later down the line

I like your recommendations and 70% of yours is basically what I'm doing but I don't do strategic rush coz I'd tried that before and not good for war man.Also I tried carzy amount of army composition so at least I need to max out my spells and troops at any given level of the town hall itself.Rushing is a bad idea.You have to max them out anyway and for war you need a real tiger not paper tiger man.

If you want to become a professional player, just upgrade everything you have and learn to attack strategically

Which is a very small portion of the player base who want to do that. If you want to become a pro, you can still follow this guide to make the upgrading process quicker. Unless you want to stop at a certain town hall, strategic rushing is the fastest way to get to the highest town hall without wasting time and uses of your magic items.

during th11 going to 12, i only did camps, storages, lab & cc and started upgrading the town hall did the same on th12, only diff are the 3rd IT + Workshop and went straight to 13.. took about 6 weeks currently doing 5th star of th13, so i can move on to th14 and start using my 800+ cwl medals at the same time get a gold pass hehe😅

This is not playing Clash of clans… you have the defences at level 5, you are One of those that win the attacks in leagues but be defeated by the enemy super easily… the reason because most of the players are At these th levels is that is funny to max a th and is also the goal of the game, By your viewpoint a player that arrives at th13 had to spend 2 years to max it…
