Quick q as someone researching into starting this, I dont plan on a reef tank, just the mantis shrimp package they have ( the mantis stays between 3-4 inches). What I'm wondering is if the nitrogen cycle is the same as freshwater where Its best to start it before having anything live in there. Like would the live rock go in first before kicking off nitrogen cycle, and if so would I add the live crabs/snails in at yhe same time or wait. Appreciate it, A beginner saltwater noob.
