Have you added any corals yet? I just decided to set up a 10 gallon tank for some inverts and fish. So excited!

That's awesome! What fish are you looking to add? We added some xenia to one and zoanthids in the other. We will definitely be adding more soon. They have mostly been fish only with the mantis shrimp.

@ So far I have watchman goby, his friend pistol shrimp and tailspot blenny. I wanted to add them to my 45 gallon tank but my starry blenny is kind of aggressive. So I decided to set up a 10 gallon after I watched your video. 😄 It would be awesome to see how your 10 gallon tanks are doing.

its a 50/50 shot the mantis will attack the fish greens stay quite small and usually as long as you have small crabs and invert it will leave the fish alone. Research about them your kid might actually enjoy having him over anything else as they are really special creatures. You can also spot feed it small chunks of scallop or fish or any grocery store "ocean meat" and it will stay happy and full and leave things alone

The invert you thought was an Abalone was actually a Limpet. Still cool though. and the Alien looking one you were pointing at the moves around is a fleshy limpet.

Yeah, that mantis shrimp is an example of why people don't like to use live rock. They are notoriously hard to get out of a tank. They call them thumb splitter shrimp because they can do serious damage to a hand. They eat fish. They tuck into little holes and you can't dig them out. Supposedly they can snap their claws so hard that they can break glass, but I have never actually heard of one destroying an aquarium.
