Marlies Gohr was awesome. Probably the best starter out of the blocks of any woman. In that race against Ashford she let her right arm get out of control. Even then Ashford had to set a record to beat her.

But in that era, it was very common, I used to run 200 meters when I was 16 in 1982 and was approached by a few guys who told me it would get me to another level! A lot of people I know was on something, 99% of them lol.

I believe in the 70s up the 90s the German and Russian women was training using power lifting techniques such as power cleans, deadlifts, jerk presses, etc. which gave them a huge advantage. Once the rest of the world caught on to that training as well for sprinters the rest is history.

@Wuppie62
@Wuppie62 8 жыл бұрын
"I just didn't feel like possibly being bombarded by the "Jews aren't Caucasian" arguments by sensitive Jews" As if that would concern you....That doesn't make sense. Your title is about skin color (though I suspect there is more to it with you than just that), not about countries, culture or religion. I never heared of a jew complaining that he/she was considered having a white skin color. However, I did hear of white supremacists and (neo-)nazies who complain when a jewish person is considered white or of the white 'race'. You seem to agree with that. You are also suspect because you (deliberately) falsify facts about the nationality of some of the female sprinters in your compilation: during their sprinting career some of them were citizen of East-Germany aka DDR. And not from West-Germany aka BDR. That factual difference is very relevant here, because in those years these two nations had totaly different governments and policies. It's known that the DDR, like the Soviet Union and Russia the last years, had state funded and executed doping-regimes/-policies . Adding things up it appears to me you are sympathatic with typical white supremacist, racist and maybe even neo-nazi ideologies. i'm Dutch and I'm sure that if Dafne Schippers - and other sprinters too - would see what you're doing, they would object to the fact that you put them into this racist video.

@stevecrocker6904

I pretty much have those same choices. Ashford was amazingly fast and I loved the quiet, mature demeanour she showed while remaining a ruthless competitor. Felix, ditto and for the same reasons (I'm turned off by show ponies). Privalova was raised by her parents to be a great athlete. Home gym, climbing frames/ropes. A champion speed skater before turning her all to track. Then, as achilles problems became an issue, she refocused to 400 hurdles and won Olympic Gold in Sydney in her first season aged 31.

You're full of shit as always. You don't even try to mask your racism. So the Black women are juiced up, but the white one is the only clean. Got it. Schippers is juiced up. If you think Schippers is clean, I have some oceanfront property in Idaho to sell you. With that bull neck and shoulders, and the broad forehead m(moon face), and acne all on her shoulders and down her back --- tell-tale signs of PED usage. She is not clean. And she'll be 27 in a few weeks. She's done. She is putting forth diminishing returns. Schippers didn't win a SINGLE RACE last year on the Diamond League circuit. He best finish was 2nd. She's been beaten regularly by both Miller-Uibo and Asher-Smith. She's DONE in the 100m. But we'll see. She may just cycle up again.

@@EVERLASTING12000: I think that's an unreasonable assumption - that she's juiced. Her whole family is prone to acne in their youth, her strength and conditioning comes from years of heptathlon training, her nation isn't impoverished and runs a tight schedule of drug testing. Why would she even consider using pharmaceutical assistance and live in shame when she's found out? It doesn't make sense. By the same token I realise many people with insecurity issues dismiss all great black athletes' performances as "enhanced" - which is totally unfair, hurtful and racist.

@@haroldhumerickhouse8433 No. If that was the case, her compatriots would have been up there with her, but, they weren't, she could blow all the other East Germans away too. Fact is, on a level playing field, and it's ALWAYS been a level playing field, Marita is the greatest sprinter who has ever lived. WRs from 50-400m !! Just think about that, what other athlete do you know, man or woman, who could set WRs over such a range. In many of her races, the entire field was at least 10m back.

it's unfortunate Lalova's 10.77 was run in Plovdiv (Bulgaria). Her next best at 10.96 is more believable (although still performed in her home country). Similar in some ways to Marian Woronin of Poland who supposedly ran 10.00 also in his country Poland (Warsaw, with a 2 metre following wind). His next best was a far removed 10.16. Only international runs using full IAAF timing procedure should count as valid
@Puravik5
@Puravik5 3 жыл бұрын
Woronin's second best time was 10.11 (Berlin, 1986 Aug 15), not wind assisted and official time by then. Woronin's second best time where we know the exact wind reading was 10.14 (Lublin, 1986 Aug 2).

"Hannah Cunliffe was on her way. She would've made the 2016 🇺🇸 olympic team if she didn't get hurt at the NCAAs 1 month before the olympics. She beat English Gardner for the Pac 12 championship." --- @@mongoslade277 That's interesting. Downright fascinating, especially when you consider that Gardner NEVER raced Cunliff in any Pac 12 Championship. Gardner had graduated a year before Cunliff arrived at the U of Oregon. They NEVER raced each other in 2016 either. Gardner ran the second fastest time in 2016, behind Elaine Thompson. Cunliff would not have made the Olympics. There were several U.S. women that ran faster times than her. Cunliff only ran a sub 11 ONCE, a 10.99. That would not have been fast enough to make the team. Now however, both Gardner and Cunliff raced each other a year later 2017 at Sacramento, and Gardner beat her. THIS YEAR (2021) Gardner and Cunliff ran in the same heat (4) at the U.S. trials, Gardner beat her by coming in 3rd in that heat, and Cunliff came in 5th. Gardner advance to this year's U.S. Olympic trials 100m finals. Gardner and Cunliff raced each other only TWICE, and Gardner beat her both times. So I don't know what the hell you are talking about.

@Bring Back Jim Crow Laws you need to read comments properly before you get all butthurt and abuse people. 1) Neither Prandini nor Schippers were from any country that is, or at anytime was Eastern Bloc. 2)The above comment does not assert that and in fact makes a point of separating them. 3)In order to be a product of a program you need to be there at it's inception? Talk to the black sprinters who are a product of the slavery 'program' which ended in 1865. In conclusion I pronounce that it is indeed you who is a dumb fuck.
