The fastest black sprinters are faster than the fastest white sprinters, I think there is no argument there. What falsely is concluded from this is that all white athletes are slower than all black athletes. Any sprinter that runs a very low 10 second 100m is elite fast, and there are many white sprinters who achieve times near 10 flat. To put in perspective, Chris Johnson's 4.24 at the NFL combine translates to a rather pedestrian 10.3 (not 10.03). Almost all 100m sprinters, black or white, running at the collegiate level to the international level run this fast or faster. I guess my point is if you see any sprinter run 10.10 or lower, they are scary fast. We should appreciate their athletic ability no matter their color, and when a white sprinter runs sub 10 (i.e. like LeMaitre) you are watching a very special and rare athlete, even if he isn't the fastest in the world or all time.

LeMaitre's PB is a 9.92 but his best performance was a 10.06. He's the only white athlete to have times less than 10.00 when converted for wind. (and none of them were measured as under 10) Erasmus is next with a 10.02 into 0.3 wind which is a 10.00 ish...he also ran a 10.11 into -1wind.. Tortu has 2 runs that convert to a 10.01. Matt Shirvington's 10.03 into 0.3 wind puts him at a 10.01. Koike from Japan's best run converts to a 10.01. Gemili is at a 10.04 Guliyev's 9.98 with 1.5w was m,uch better than his usual 10.15 speed. but converts to a 10.08.

Lemaitre was never in Triple AAA. He has big time talent, he just was around when Bolt was here. Top sprinter, Major League sprinter for a number of years. Wise up !!
@zyxwut3217 жыл бұрын
Not quite, at least not a player who peaks out at the Triple A level. A closer parallel would be MLB non All-Stars vs. the top All-Stars. It's like comparing Rich Hill to Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw's obviously the better pitcher but Rich Hill is an elite professional who has performed well in the majors for years. White sprinters can be respectable and perform near the top of the sprinting world. They just don't quite have the fast-twitch muscle fibers, dense musculature and other physical attributes to reliably break under 10 seconds or 9.9 or 9.8 and consistently be in the absolute top levels in the world.

I myself am black, so I'll say this: in a lot of these races where the white runners featured in the video ran, there were plenty of blacks lined up also who lost.

time to make this video again. Some of those performances were one-offs and very questionable. Woronin? upper limit of legal wind assistance, in his home country, non international meet, never another time anywhere near his 10.00. The modern Germans listed have never run fast outside Germany and have looked sluggish at international meets. Anyhow, there are newer better contenders now. The list needs to include non-black sprinters and we'll see Asians, Caucasians, Arab and indigenous Australian/Irish mixes

People of West African descent have denser bone mass, (which weighs them down more when swimming) denser & leaner muscle mass, & faster muscle twitch fibers for explosive starts & forward propulsion (also useful for jumping in basketball & the quarterback role). The odds are are genetically stacked against Caucasians. We should put down the spikes & put on the swimming goggles.

exclude black athletes of sub-saharan, west coast origin, and the list of fastest "others" (as distinct from the term "white") would leave Mr Borzov down at number 20 with his 10.07 (although he's undoubtedly a greater performer).

What do you think about a professional track and field league in the USA? Would you watch? Would you buy subscription to the channel? Would you go to the games?
@CaneFu3 жыл бұрын
A pro track league has already been tried in the USA back in the 1970s and failed miserably. And FYI, the track stars of today ARE professionals already, earning millions of dollars every year on their own. Why in the world would they want to join some pro league that would no doubt try to control them? There would be no benefit for the current top athletes to give up their independence..

One sub 10 sec 100M. One. And virtually ALL of them jacked up on 'roids. The following sprinters are all of African descent, of course. Top Ten Fastest 100 Meter Sprinters in History Sprinters - Men’s 100 Metres (World Record: 9.58) by Usain Bolt at the ’09 World Championships) 1. Usain Bolt (Jamaica) - Fastest Time: 9.58 seconds The 100m Olympic record (9.69) was set by Bolt at the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing. 2. Tyson Gay (United States) - Fastest Time: 9.69 seconds During the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials, Gay also ran a wind-aided 9.68 (once the fastest 100 m under any condition). 3. Asafa Powell (Jamaica) - Fastest Time: 9.72 seconds Asafa Powell ran his fastest time, once the world record, during heats at the 2007 IAAF Rieti Grand Prix. 4. Maurice Greene (United States) - Fastest Time: 9.79 seconds By the widest margin since electronic timing, Greene ran this since passed world record time in 1999. 5. Donovan Bailey (Canada) - Fastest Time: 9.84 seconds Bailey returned Canada to glory with his 9.84 record-breaking run at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. 6. Carl Lewis (United States) - Fastest Time: 9.86 seconds Track and Field star Carl Lewis has won nine Olympic gold medals and eight World Championship gold medals.

All due respect, but virtually all of the African descent sprinters were jacked on roids as well. Some were caught, some will never be, but let's not be naive here....
@fender10001003 жыл бұрын
@@tomasescalante2987 Exactly they all take something. Blacks have more fast muscle twitch fibres. Which gives them a genetic advantage to run faster and be faster in general. Just like Whites have a genetic advantage for swimming with longer upper bodies and lighter bones.
@fender10001003 жыл бұрын
@Doug Lane Alright dont get insecure. We know blacks are the best at sprinting. They have a genetic advantage with more faster muscle twitch fibres. Just like whites are better swimmers with longer upper bodies and lighter bones.
