I don’t like how this EVP vs AEW story has unfolded. Perry attacks Tony… ok. Great start. The reasoning for Perry was explained well. Then a random anarchy in the arena match with non stipulation or reason. Then nothing much and then a Blood & Guts match. What’s on the line here? Let’s say the Elite win, then what? Nothing changes. If team AEW wins, then what? The evps are still in power… I wish this would have been fleshed out more and had more reasoning behind it.

Eh, I think it’s a mixture of a few things. Last year, we were absolutely spoiled with star power, with Omega and Ibushi on the “good” elite’s side (before Ibushi’s series of unfortunate injuries). I also think the Acclaimed, while once very popular, being added to Team AEW felt like a questionable choice. Meh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
