There's way too many edge cases. Had a guy disconnect mid Mak'Gora and i stopped attacking out of respect. his char logged out and like 1 min later he was back and had the debuff. shit like that always happens on buggy classic.

@@ShOcKTeh For surviving a dungeon wipe, I would agree that mobility is better, but if the paladin knows safe spots (or just hearth spots,) their kit near-guarantees them getting there. Edit: rogue vanish is pretty buggy, but is also S-tier when it does work. Some mobs just don't care, unfortunately.

Dude prob didn't expect the pally'd run away. LIke he said, if he spelllock the pally there, he'd hard cast fear w/o interruption and can rush him down for sure. Trinket the last hoj/devour penance. While the pally's bubble on CD, spell lock can be very powerful, e.g., spell lock + immolate + coil + fear + full dots/drain to rush him. The coil + drain mana gave it away.

It was worse than death with Ziqo because it was a 3 day debuff and it was the first wave of levelers, but this guy is already level 60 so he really doesnt lose much by forfeiting the Mak'gora. It's lame but if anything he just saved a long grind. I'm pretty sure he'd rather afk in SW than go agane anyway. It's pretty grief if you think about it, shadow protection potion and if he got the chance he would kill the lock - while at the same time knowing he cannot die because he can just forfeit. They should change it so the debuff is permanent or something, maybe make your character wear a hat with an "L" on it forever.

I really think if you flee a duel your character should just die there and then. In an ideal world I think it shouldn't be possible to flee at all, but I also understand that with unlimited range a druid for example could just run forever and the duel would never ever end so there has to be a system in place for that... But the debuff is far too weak. I think when you flee you should die, and if you are cc'ed in some way then the timer should reset to prevent being cced outside. For example if you are feared outside the area, the timer doesn't star counting down until the fear ends, and if fear is reapplied it should wipe the timer until it ends again. Its not a perfect system, you could for example be chain feared repeatedly so far away that you cant get back within 10 seconds.. but the rng on that is pretty crazy and theres never going to be a perfect system. I think its a lot better than the bs we have right now.

Xar, coil is what you use when you are bursting, in deep trouble or can't cast fear due to pushback/interrupts...not when you're opening to start dots on a paladin who doesn't have an interrupt and attacks slowly. If the pally was in full epics, then yeah maybe...those things can burst hard. Anyways, just pausing at 3:02 after Xar says it for the second time.

@@zekay_ Well to be clear, Coil is *always* a powerful cooldown and will always put the enemy in a bad spot. That said, its instant nature means using it flippantly in a mak'gora is...risky, to say the least; you want the most out of every ability you use, so long as you're not overthinking and get killed as a result. That depends on how well you know your class, though.

@@3lit3gn0m3 Using it in that situation is one of the best ways to use it. Sitting casting fear when the paladins auto attacks hits for half his health is not viable. If the paladin had a nade he would've won. Using coil at that moment puts the paladin in a bad spot, he gets 0 value from chasing, he's all in the open, no los, no mana, he's ccd and will get chained. Knowing what to do depending on position and situation shows the difference between a decent player and a good player, that's why we dont see eye to eye.

3 in game days, not real time days. So you have to stay logged in for 72 hours. If you dont play it doesnt go down. And the debuff makes you so weak. Decreases all attributes, damage, resistance, and armor by 20% for three days.

I will be honest if you are in a Mak'Gora I don't think "coward" should just be 3 days. You should have the debuff that reduces your stats for 3 days. but like ears, a non-stat debuff should exist that should STAY on you debuff list as just a debuff forever...and if you do it again you get another stack. It should work the other way like ears do.
