Hey Adnan, just wanna say thank you for these amazing Mash'Allah history discussions, they really help me with understand the history of the Ottoman which i've done and still do research from time to time, and it fascinates me every time learning about the different events and such, my humble request to you is if you can, please make a series where you discuss the different sultans and the different important periods of the ottoman empire from a historical perspective. I tend to find it easier to learn through videos and discussions like these and would appreciate if you continue making them, most of the videos about the ottoman are in turkish which i don't understand, and the ones that cover in English tend to be hard to understand. Once again thank you for the history lessons, would love more videos about Islamic history and historic events, since here in Norway it's quite rare to learn any history that has any relation to Islam. May Allah bless you and your family, and increase your knowledge even more, take care. Jazak'Allah khair :)

As a sister from Turkey, this podcast touched me very much. A brother of mine from another country and culture shared great information about the Ottoman 🥹 thank u brother, adnan abi.🌸 only here are two perspectives on Timur.I still don't have a definite opinion about it, but the Battle of Ankara is truly a great sadness. What you call Ottoman history is truly fascinating.

I’m a Türk elhamdulillah, In Türkiye you have 2 kinds of people, 1 side is completely secular and “modernising” Kemalist type & on the other side you have the Ottoman Religious type of Türks. It definitely varies where you go, there are some areas where you can barely find a man without a turban on his head and some areas where you don’t even see much women with scarves on their head. It is very depending on where you are, not only on which City your in, but in the city - which town your in. You definitely cannot just go to the touristic areas where there are tourists everywhere, and tourist attractions etc then think you seen it all and this is how all Türks are now. As many EvliAllah - major saints have said 100s of years ago, they said that the Ottoman Empire will end for 100ish years and then return a certain amount times stronger then before. The Ottomans, the Khalife is returning brothers inşAllah.

Great podcast 👍 Genghiz Khan army consisted of mongol and turk tribes. Mongol tribes and Gengiz khan successors were gradually turkised and later all predominately accepted Islam. They did not call themselves timurids as Tamerlane (he was Turk himself in the wider meaning of Turk ethnic group which are represented nowadays by Kazak, Uzbek, Kirgiz, Bashkir, Tatar, Azerbaijani etc) came century later.

Yes that’s important and also Taliban should go because they will be the reason if Afghan turn against Islam if they don’t change their policies, women should be banned from education and forced to wear burqa, that should be women’s choice, forcing it and punishing them will only result in apostasy.

Musa, I think you should have specified where in Turkey you were to make such a generalising statement about its religiousity. Turkey is a very divided country, the eastern and central parts are more religious and conservative, while the western parts not much so, Istanbul itself is very mixed. You should have also specified what you mean by "religious", do you mean praying in the Mosque or what?
