I am not a big cereal eater, but some time ago, I chanced upon a bowl of Froot Loops, and I was shocked at how they looked. I had that cereal when I was a kid, and it didn't look like a cartoon show. They've made these things SO colorful and vibrant, it doesn't look natural to me. Bright colors in nature are a sign that something is _poisonous!_ We are doing our kids a disservice, not just because the food is bad, but it's training them to think obviously fake, industrial food is normal, and real food is bland, ugly, and boring.

I tried the carnivore diet. It saved me from dying from oxalates and environmental toxins. Being a foodie, it felt boring and monotonous. Now my diet is animal-based and it suits me. When I was a cashier at a large food chain, I was shocked that people could purchase soda, candy, and chips with food stamps.That system needs an overhaul as well.
@AdventureAwaits11116 күн бұрын
As someone on food stamps, I AGREE. Dump the junk, and ALLOW it to be used for OTC medicines and bandages. But its allowed) Isnt lobbying GREAT? 🙄 Welcome to the "United Corporations of America" folks!
@TrumpBabe6 күн бұрын
When I was a cashier back in the 80's. It was not allowed. Food stamps could buy Kool-aid packets, but NO soft drinks, Nothing from the Deli, in other word no pre-made food. You had to buy Basic groceries. I think that is the way it should be. You cant buy your own food, Taxpayers should NOT be paying for your junk food. PERIOD. It was fairly limited what food stamps covered.
@mtnbiker145 күн бұрын
Agreed. I was also a cashier for many years. People could buy a lot of "junk" and still couldn't afford enough real food to feed their family. It was always annoying enough to see the people who would pay for food with the food stamps and then have $75 of cigarettes and beer on a second order that they used their own money on (so....they could afford food?). But, for the people who need the assistance to afford food, they have the right to eat healthy food and shouldn't have to settle for things that make them sick and addicted because that's what the government lets them pay for.

I am beside myself angry about these systems, because they have undermined the very health of the nation. We CANNOT prosper, if we are sick. I believe the best path is multi community gardens within communities, like growing food is just the popular in yards, parks, public spaces the norm. We need young people to see plenty and abundance, just being the way life is. The schools need to adopt all of these topics into curriculums. People NEED to understand how their bodies work. Over the years, I've definitely learned that not everyone wants to hear about food and other environmental toxins. I completely understand why they don't want to hear about it. At times it's depressing to learn what's in our food supply. It's easier to "ignore it", ignorance is bliss they tell me. And overcoming the junk food addiction in the beginning can be so hard. We grew up with these foods. They are everywhere. They are "comforting", and tasty. So I completely understand why people don't want to make the change. But in my experience, once you overcome the cravings, the bliss of nutrient-dense whole foods and how they make me feel, is the gift that keeps on giving.

Didn't see anything about approving red meat, and they still approve "low fat" iteams as well as whole grains and a "balanced" diet as opposed to something like carnivore. Also pushing the old fruits and vegetables mantra. They still admonish "saturated fats and call for "unsaturated fats.Then it goes on to say that these changes are ment for companies that want to use the "HEALTHY" claim on packaging. Frankly, I don't see much of a in attitude. More of an attempt to look like they have done something. The elimination of the dye is a good thing. They know RFK wants to make major changes; and for those who don't know, he has said he foes "not" intend to ban vaccinations; rather to educate people about the dangers.
