More of this crew please! The Enterprise can't be the only ones having fun adventures!

What a fun, funny, introspective, thoughtful, charming, beautiful, fantastic episode!! The cast & crew of the USS HORNET are wonderful, & engaging. This episode showcases the brilliant minds of this wonderful, talented cast & company!! THIS is what Star Trek is meant to be!! It hit home, on so many levels. I sincerely hope that this isn’t the last time we get to see ‘Mother’. I feel she (the meteorite life form) is looking out for the lieutenant’s best interests, & truly cares about her, & wishes to protect her from harm. I feel that ‘Mother’ truly meant no harm, & that she was also there to help the lieutenant in every way; that she is helping her in the grieving process of losing her mom. I do hope we get to see more of beautiful, sweet ‘Mother’. She reminds me of my mom, in so many ways❤️❤️❤️. Thank you all for allowing us all to journey together among the stars, aboard such a beautiful and powerful ship, with such a special & wonderful crew!! I’m eagerly looking forward to the next episodes!! Thank you all so much for a wonderful, tearful episode!! I’m going to go hug my teddy bear now…

This gives an almost unearthly aura of the days of WW2 on Earth. Where ships, technology, everything had a simpler, more practical look and feel to it. Could you imagine a Starfleet where either fear of the Borg, or another highly advanced race forced the Federation to adopt "Old style" controls and displays? Their ships use switches, dials, and old school lights to allow function over form. Graphics are kept to a minimum to not create information overload. And ships have adopted a military design style which gives them a WW2 Battleship design. No space is wasted, nor is ships power. This was in response to the Borg "assimilation" techniques, or another race to give them the impression the Federation is a more "primitive" organization. This gave the Federation both time, and warning. They took it seriously and gave their ships primitive looking displays and controls so if a vessel is boarded or infiltrated, an enemy party could not easily decipher these designs and would assumably think them not worthy of assimilation or even domination. And while perhaps a bit more technical to use, they still maintain a state of the art function and can match more advanced, more graphical, and more modern vessels designed by the Klingons, Romulans, Breen, and Dominion. "More than meets the eye". Excellent video!!! Classic Star Trek at its finest.

Having Mom reprogram the food units to produce her daughter's favorite dessert would've been a nice touch...

Nice idea. If I would have mentioned her favorite food in the opening scene with Mother, it would have been a nice connection and wrap up to the story if she had gorged herself at the end.

Overall, I loved it! I was a little confused why the captain was asking the computer stuff he should have asked the science officer, but hey, it works. Good job, everyone! 🎉
@thefederationfiles89388 ай бұрын
I thought the very same thing while writing this scene but the chief engineer is completely stumped. However, thinking outside an engineers mind and because the Science officer was on the planet, the Captain turned for the analytical advice of the computer which, through typical Star Trek problem solving skills, came up with the "halo dampening effect". Thanks for watching.

Amazing how Axanar is limited to 2 15 minute episodes and every one else gets at least 30 minutes if not longer???????
@j.shadowcat90665 ай бұрын
AXANAR showed what Superb Quality & SFx can be done on a minimum budget with the right talented people, and THAT pissed off Paramount/CBS bloating their movie cost by 5-10x+ for the benefit of the elite profiteers. AXANAR scared the monopoly of Paramount/CBS.

can someone explain to me what this "you shadowing me now" from the captain to her? is that to introduce her to ther ship or to understand eatch other? Sorry, if this question sounds silly
@joshuairwin20162 ай бұрын
Perhaps her duties will be related to directly assisting the Captain at times, he comes across to me as a Captain that genuinely cares about his crew. Maybe he just wanted to take her under his wing and show her the ropes personally on her first day.

Very good! Thank you for this wonderful trekkie entertainment. One suggestion - would look far more professional and trek canon if the longer-haired women wore their hair neatly tied up in buns etc. while on duty.....

That sounds like a Kevin Riley request.

@@thefederationfiles8938 LOL I know that episode but no, just a bit of tidying up in a world which doesn't care about professional attractiveness. Nevertheless, very good video and thank you for bringing it to us!

OKAY .......I'M NOT TRYING TO NIC---PICK.....BUT WHY THE HELL ARE THE NECELLES POINTED IN THE WRONG DIRECTION??? AND AN X- AMOUNT OF THE CREW....SHOULD STOP WITH THE BAD ACTING THINGIE!!!!!!!!!! 🤣😂😅🤣😁
@joshuairwin20162 ай бұрын
1. You absolutely are trying to nitpick. 2. The Nacelles are pointed in the correct direction. There are many examples in Star Trek of nacelles being pointed down from the primary hull. You might consider learning to spell the word nacelle before "nit picking". 3. Fan Films are not allowed to hire professional actors, most often these are groups of friends getting together to have a good time and celebrate the show they love. Perhaps you should take your un-trek like attitude somewhere else.
