Jesus, how good is this! The Feelies covering Patti Smith? It's like chocolate meets peanut butter for the first time.

I bought the Higher Ground album when it came out and this CD was an extra attachment to the package. As good as the Album is, I always liked this cover better. Great cover. A few months ago we saw Patti Smith. That's an experience. See her if she's in the area go with no expectations. Anything can happen. She did play this and it was great.

I had this on a flexi disc from THE BOB magazine. Such a great cover! Her bass is a secret weapon in the band--too bad she didn't sing more

I'm not embarrassed to say...this is definitely in my top 5 favorite covers of all time. Me and My Monkey, What Goes On??..etc, The Feelies seemed to always nail every cover in their repertoire. All of their albums are timeless....not dated in the slightest. Crazy Rhythms sounds as fresh to me as it did 30+ years ago. HOLY SHIT! That album is 35 years old! I'd easily put the one Feelies show I was lucky enough to attend in my top 5. When someone asks me what bands I think are/were the most underrated? The Feelies are always my first answer. I've been turning people on to them for decades. Regarding music, It's still one of my favorite hobbies!

At 60.....and only knowing the Patti Smith classic.....this absolutely tears up U2's cover....and quite possibly does the most justice to to the late 70's classic!! OK....the Smithereens coulda/shoulda done a great cover of this puppy themselves....totally remimiscent of a garage era long gone....

I think he became a fan after seeing them perform a cover of "What Goes On" as an encore. The included their version on their 3rd album.

I saw these guys in 1980. When did they add a woman vocalist? Alone of all the covers of this great song they have the guts to do the poetry declamation at the end

A terrific cover of a deeply spiritual song. But such a glowering photograph! Like the band are in the worst mood ever! PS: God save the Feelies! One of the great bands.)
