No, it’s more like Galadriel and the Chipettes or Elrond and the Chipmunks. Speaking of crossover references, whenever I hear The Jetsons theme, I’m such a LOTR nut that I amend the lyrics to “Meet George Jetson. His boy, Elrond.” Sure, it’s not as catchy and it doesn’t rhyme, but come on, why not?

Broods In Corner we played a drinking game where we all marathoned the entire extended edition trilogy. We had the 12 or so hours to each finish an entire bottle of whiskey. Well one of us had the brilliant idea that we should all drink everytime an iconic line was said. After that rule was implemented, things went downhill fast. Someone finished 2/3rds of a bottle before reaching Moria and promptly spent the next 3 hours or so puking. They didn’t return until about helms deep. But they timed their return to the arrival of Gandalf and his charge down towards helms deep, so it was worth it
