In highschool I had really bad period cramps till the point where I was vomiting and passing out. One day I had extreme cramps while writing a math test. I only got through the first 3 pages of an 11 page test, then started seeing black (couldn't see) after that I forgot what or if I wrote to finish my test. The next day my teacher asked me if I thought his class was a joke showing me what I wrote... the question would be something like 2c+31-4=39 the answer would be c=6 but I answered 172 liters. When I told him I don't remember writing that and that I had ''blacked out'' in a sense because of my period cramps he gave me an F on my test and 2 weeks of detention... 5 months and 3 doctors later I was diagnosed with endometriosis, and the principal made the teacher personally apologise to me and any other girl who ''used their period as an excuse'' A few years later and although endometriosis wasn't the most pleasant it kinda made an uneducated teacher feel bad and learn a lesson/more respect towards girls XoXo

I started at 9 and stopped when I was 51. I had horrendous cramps, dry heaves, cold sweats, diarrhea and very heavy flow. They were more like labor pains. The last ten years of mine, I had my cycle every 2 to 3 weeks and lots of clotting/sluffing. Sometimes as big as the palm of my hand. I always had horrendous cramps. They were more like labor pains in the timing and severity. The longer the cramping, the more severe they were and timed closer together. I also had dry heaves and cold sweats. My whole bed and pillow would be soaked. Like toxic shock syndrome. They lasted 7 to 10 days and was a 14 days to 21 days cycle. I'd sometimes stop for just a few days and then start again!! None of my jobs ever understood what my cycles were like!!

For some reason learning about how my body functions, and that at least those cramps serve a function, helps me cope better with that monthly pain. Currently on my period, and I'm staying in my pj's today, lol. I used to hate getting periods, and I hated being female, but nowadays I feel more appreciative of all that. I can't hate my body anymore for how it just functions naturally. And I love my uterus, even though the cramps hurt sometimes. She thanks you for wishing her the best.
