5 year warranty on their rechargeable lights is impressive and speaks volumes. Waterproof, robust, bright and comfy. Tried a lot of brands over the years, led lenser, petzl, old tigas, silva. For the money, build quality, brightness, reliability, I wont ever think of another brand for fishing. Fenix quality is second to none in my humble opinion, you actually get what you pay for. Also having a flood mode is a must for me in a fishing headlamp. My biggest grip with this is the price, at 250 it's way off.

Five years is standardised for most now nitesearcher is also five, led lenser is seven. I get what you're saying re build quality, but at £250 is it twice the build quality of led lenser, or three times that of nitesearcher?

@cashybai I doubt it's twice the quality. The newer led lensers look better than the old ones. At least they are ipx6 now. Need to see the new ones in hand and this tbh. No doubt the fenix will be top notch but the pricing for this particular model is off I think by a long way. 150-170 and I would consider the upgrade.

great content as usual 👍 a note with this Hp35r headlight for those that have the hp30rv2 already, their existing battery pack will also run the new Hp35r until the spare Hp35r battery packs are available for those who wish to have a second battery pack for the longer sessions 👍🎣

Lots of great bits of kit these days and the headlights are important when fishing dangerous marks getting to and from them down cliffs etc personally I got some really decent cheap ones from china with different settings and they are so small I usually take 3 with me fully charged,👍cheers

I messaged you last year bud regarding headlamps and the lack of decent ones, I use the magicshine MOH55 4000 true lumens , they are in a class of their own. The only clever battery pack out there that won't leave you in the dark and can double up as a battery pack if needed, it also dips automatically to save your usage, I'm hoping to get to the development team and show them my patented first ever duo head to rodrest light by a garmin fixture. I will be also looking at getting the guys to include face recognition, a nice little added extra touch so it doesn't blind the angler when fishing next to someone, there's nothing worse than someone looking straight at you. The difference I can see is the magicshine to this one is it has a better wide angle beam. The battery pack is a little larger than normal but Chris at reed made a nice little pocket inside the storm jacket to hold the battery mid shoulder blade, I don't even know I'm wearing a headlight.

Finex headlamps are great. I personally have the HP25R v2.0 and is a great headlamp so this new one is going to be incredible.
