Gorgeous images here, an iconic, rare and beautiful racer shot wonderfully while being pushed hard; can't beat it. That sound is just invigorating.... I think it truly appeals to the instintual beast within "Hear me ROAR... and be afraid!"

I've come back to this video at least 6 times. It makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up every time I see it. It's great to see it driven by someone who knows how to drive it and doesn't hesitate to push it the way it was built to be pushed. This video presents this unique car as only Petroliocious can. Thanks very much.

What a glorious sound from that motor. A car you have to be actively involved with at every moment. I cringe thinking something is going to jump onto the road when you're airing it out. But then that raucous sound probably sends them running for cover. Thanks for being a great steward of automotive history.

I remember seeing Derek racing a Daytona Cobra at the TT Trophy at Goodwood. His co-driver was his Dad. I love the GTO though, my favourite is a particular '63 chassis but officially re-bodied with a '64. It was driven by my favourite driver, another Hill - Graham.

It's sad that they don't make awesome cars like these anymore... I think it's even sadder that kids now a days don't appreciate old cars and the history they have. They are more interested in Bugatti's, Lamborghini's and any other modern day poster car.

M Rod Yeah, where they care more about what kind of engine it has, how much power it produces, how fast it is, how much it costs in comparison to its competitors, and how fast it can lap the Nurburgring. I feel you.

M Rod I'm 24 years old and this is my all time favorite car. I love this car to death. I also love the Miura, the 300SL, the 250 GT, the Dino 246 GT, the 65 Impala, the 67 Impala, the Shelby Cobra 427 S/C...I could keep on going. I also love the LP670, the SLS AMG, the Aventador, the V12 Vantage and the Noble M600. To put it simply, I love cars irrespective of when it was made or how large the engine is. I remember when I first saw the 250 GTO...10 seconds was all it took and it was my all time favorite car. I think the reason why my generation has a fascination for all things modern is quite simply because we've never been exposed to these cars, we never grew up seeing cars like the 250 GTO or anything I list. We grew up seeing Skylines and Lambos. I think you'd be surprised how many people my age do love these cars. That said, you're right...far too many don't even know about these amazing cars. My generation aren't the brightest.

Paperairpain this is a car that was designed for the track, actually road racing so yes it will be amazing on the street but its not like hoping in a 330 gt you've really got to drive these cars hard just to get the temp up to an acceptable level and so you can drive these cars on the street but best enjoyed on an empty road like this.... or a track much like the f40

RootsRockRebel You expect to come on this video and comment about F40 and expect to get away with it? F40 is a completely different era buddy, its the 250 GTOs grandchild. Can you compare LaFerrari with F40? According to me the LaFerrari is the best car on paper and on land. But this GTO beats that too!
