My favourite seat is hanging out of the window right behind the loco! Thank you, takes me back to my fondest memories.

A great video which brings old memories back when as children both my brother and I with our parents back in the 1950's spent our summer holiday staying just down the lane from the crossing outside Minnffordd on Portmaddog side and I helping the lady with the crossing gates apart from taking the train from Portmaddog to the end of the line which in those days was Tanybwlch.CAREY CHESHIRE

Nice piece of video. Particularly like "DLG" in it's grey livery, and shame it didn't last too long. Maybe the next new Fairlie will carry the grey for a while

British Preserved railways are limited to 25mph. Not sure if the Ffestiniog has any sections at that speed however.

It wasn't long out of the workshops following overhaul at the time.

Well, it's quite fitting really. The real David Lloyd George always seems to be grey in every film that I see of him! .....it's OK....I know my own way out....
