I felt so violated, I were creeped out for minutes after it was done, just breathing before I could continue. I failed the first time. logged off in annoyance because I had to go grocery shopping, queues be darned. When I got back in and approached it with a clearer mind, I paid more attention to "stick to the shadows" and realized you can easily climb through the buildings and avoid almost all the mobs. Second time I got through it with plenty of time to spare.

I love how much "In from the cold" shows how weak normal people are to us. We're just full of hacks, we can see where stuff is, we can regen outside battle, and we're so freaking strong. This duty really hammers that into place.

Second of all you channel aether as an eorzean, garleans don't do that without the help of the resonant modification which made zenos stand heads and shoulders above his peers. Most garleans are not pureblood and those who are rely on their superior constitution and build plus the occasional magitek armaments. Lucia didn't participate in head to head combat against a dragon the size of pyro/cryo dragon but commanded the temple knights during steps of faith. Even Aymeric struggled against Vidolfnir which isn't close to one eyed hraesvalgr when you fought him during sohr khai.

@@zeehero7280 Gaius also has a ton of Magitek, whether in his Legatus Armor Iron Man suit, or just the gunblade he carries which lets him do Terminus Est or other boss attacks. He does train a ton, of course, but he's even more reliant on his gear. On that note, remember that Thancred also cannot channel aether since end of ARR and still manages to be a badass.

One of the big reasons I listen to the game in English is so I can easily tell the difference between one voice actor/actress and another since it’s my native language. It just leads to less misunderstandings, especially when the stakes are quite high and they got some PRIMO voice talent for the new characters in this expansion.

well not quite if you ever did thordan ex, sephirin does the same attack and it leaves behind a debuff called infirmary. Which negates healing likely due to its light based aether so using white magic on it is like putting a bag of ice on someone suffering hypothermia.

my experience with the first trial was my favorite moment by far in this game. i went in with a completely blind party and all of us were freaking out. endwalker is the first expansion i got to play on launch so being able to experience everyone's first reactions in real time was amazing. yeah, it took us many tries to finally beat it, but it was some of the most fun I've ever had in any game
