The Fiat Panda 100HP | What is ALL THE FUSS about??? Is it WORTHY of the acclaimed ABARTH badge???

As reviews go, this is one of the good ones, in a strange round-about way. No better review comes of anything other than one car guy talking about the pitfalls of the other car guy's car, only to be told that these attributes are what gives the car its character; ofcourse they do. Or to put simply, two true petrol heads having a genuine conversation fueled by the petrol headed whacky purchase of a Fiat Panda 100HP.

Nice review man! As a fellow 100hp owner, he hit the nail on the head with the charm of this car. In future, it would be great to see a better mic setup while in the car - I can't hear a lot of what is said in some points. Great video nonetheless!

As a 100hp owner, this is a great video! It's not a fast car, nor is it good on fuel (37 to low 40s average mpg), nor is it cheap to fix, especially the bodywork as it is exclusive to the 100hp! BUT, it's the Smile Per Gallon which counts! It's a weird car to own but it's great. In fact, I bought a 2nd one cos that's how much I adore the thing! PS: The standard panda you pointed out was a mark 3, it only comes in a 1.1 or 1.2 or 1.4(100hp) petrol and a 1.3 multi jet diesel. The 0.9(875 twinair) was only introduced from the next generation onwards the mark 4! 😅 Feel free to roast my nerdiness

I don't think 40mpg is bad at all, that's quite good when you consider it's competitors you can expect around 25-30mpg. How do you find it expensive to fix as well?

@@joeyoung7600 I've had 2 100hps now cos they're just great cars! Speaking of expensive repairs, just any 100hp exclusive parts are hard to come by. The electric steer column and rear axle are the 2 big killers. Always in high in demand hence why the prices. Good old supply and demand but add characters to the car

@@CheekyCultured yeah that is fair enough, after doing some research I've heard that parts can be hard to come buy which obviously makes them quite expensive. I've been offered a 150k mile panda 100hp as a swap for my Peugeot 107, do you think it's a good idea or is it too much of a risk? I've read pandas are reliable but something about the 150k miles is off putting

@@joeyoung7600 You only live once! Screw it and just take u pthe offer if the service history of the 100hp is good. If the car's well looked after, it will be worthwhile! Mileage can just be a number sometimes. My first one was at 88k when I bought it, took it up to 95k when I sold it (trouble free) for a white one which I always wanted.

I took the chance and swapped the 107 for the panda :) I'm super happy with it it's great fun to drive and I've just spent all day cleaning it 😂 just one thing though, I was reversing out of a car park when all of a sudden my power steering died 🤷 I turned the car off and pack on again and it's all of a sudden okay? Do you know why it died as I'm assuming it will happen again and I'm quite scared it'll happen whilst I'm driving lol

The standard diesel Panda can be remapped to 95 bhp and a larger turbo takes it another 10bhp. That would leave the 100HP in its dust, though you’d not get the nice interior and go faster trims.

It sounds alright for a 1.4. That said a K11 Micra 1.3 build with a Cheap ebay turbo on it will be cheaper and quicker.
