On bags, it may not be the coolest of things but I find a good old fashioned bum bag works well for me. I can fit everything in and it doesnt weigh me down

I can recommend the Grey Ghost Ultimate Catch-All Pouch, mate. Plenty of room for junk, a coin pod, squirty bottle and an artifact box, and bits and bobs like tin foil, scale card and keys in separate pockets. It has wire around the edge to keep it open/closed and plenty of loops for lanyard clips. The bottom is mesh to shed dried and dusty mud, and there's a secure holster on the side for easy access to your pointer. It's perfect for me, the only niggle is that the bottom ring of the holster isn't wired so if it closes a bit it's a slight wiggly effort to get the pointer to sit in fully. It's a minor thing, though. Good vid as always, chief 👍 (I don't work for Grey Ghost 😁)

Just had a look at pouch and a little review video on youtube. It looks really good, do you own one? My only worry is theres nowhere for the trowel and do you think the net mesh at the bottom would eventually tear from sharp metal? Thanks for your comment :) - Jake
@muzzychuck6 ай бұрын
@@CrosbyCollects I got it at Christmas and have used it for decent-length hunts at least three times a week on average, so it's had a *lot* of use - sharp, heavy stuff like 1.5kg lead and tin cans, etc. There doesn't appear to be any wear on the mesh or sign of anything coming apart (I just checked). I changed the belt for a sturdier quick-release tactical belt so it wouldn't twist like regular thin webbing, and on that I mounted the holster for my Nokta trowel. This means I can adjust it independently on my waist and the lanyard won't get tangled up with the pointer's lanyard - that way frustration lies 😉 Can you PM on KZbin? Drop me a line if you can and I'll send you a photo of how it is right now, no fluffing.

I found a Henry V11 Coronation penny ( hammered in lovely condition. Found amongst stones like yours. Maybe those stones were actually a path,/ cart track.

Ah lovely stuff dude, they are great looking coins aren’t they! Good theory about the track, there’s certainly been a few found around that area. Cheers for your comment 👍🏽:)

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve noticed you don’t use your pinpoint function on your metal detector. It might help you not miss your target if you did

Great vid. What setting are you using? I have not been successful in finding hammered coins. Thanks.
@CrosbyCollects6 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment mate! I use all terrain general, notch out the first 5. Sensitivity typically around 22. I’m a couple of videos ahead, but I’ll try to remember to show my settings in a future video for you. Although I’m pretty sure I haven’t changed much from the manticore factory settings. There’s an element of luck of course, you have to walk over it! All the best - Jake :)
