True. When I started I instantly packed 88 Ruben Dias, 88 Marquinhos, 86 Mendy & 88 Bernardo Silva. Probably to hook me in seeing how good the pack weight is and how lucky I am to pack such great cards at the beginning of the game to keep me engaged.

The final layer is the only absolute fact. Everything about the game is designed to make you spend money. Whether thats by frustration or joy, it all has the same effect. Just need to play it to see how far it is from an actual football game. I believe there are many many shit things still in the code from years ago, and many new ones added onto them, making the game pure shite. And they just don't need to fix them, because they have everyone addicted to the FIFA Ultimate Casino. If you buy FIFA points, you are the problem.

The most likely of these layers are probably that the game is tailored towards elements that makes people want to keep playing rather than creating a good gaming experience. These mechanisms are hidden in plains sight. For example an unpredictable reward that comes more selldom creates more drive to keep hunting for that reward. It feeds addictive behavior. I think this is a widespread strategy by game developers with questionable ethics.
