What an an amazing explanation of the passage. Preachers these days just preach about what God will do for us; but they don't teach what we have to do for God. This sermon is a gem and it has to be preserved for the future generations as well. 🙏

Apparently, there were established churches in Greece and Rome within a very short period of time. In fact, too short of a period. Once they established the viability of the Fig Tree Jesus planted with prior years of preaching, they sealed it with the story of the crucifixion. From then on, Jesus could go about and continue his preaching, anonymously. His first appearance, the first coming, is within the same generation of his return, when he finds the Fig Tree with only foliage on it. When the fig tree's leaves become tender and sprout leaves, you know summer is near. In the same way, when you see the abomination of desolation set up in him, as the temple without one stone left standing upon another, you know that he is near. The man planted a fig tree in his garden, and for three years came looking for fruit on it. Not finding any, he was going to cut it down and remove it from the soil. He was convinced to leave it and allow it to be cultivated and fertilized. When he comes upon the fig tree, he finds only leaves on it, not fruit, and curses it. Each year Christians have adorned it with artificial fruit. It is the same story with turning water into wine. When he was told they were out of wine at the wedding feast, he said; what concern is it of mine, it is not my hour. Either that had to do with the infirmity for which he was spurned and avoided, because that is crazy talk, or it has to do with treading the winepress on the day of vengeance AS judgment on the day of the Lord. The way of the Lord in the desert needs to be put into context with the previous passage: (Joshua) The First Beast - Day of the Lord - Sacrifice - Indeed, she has received from the hand of the LORD double for all her sins. (Moses) The Second Beast - Way of the Lord - Resurrection - Make straight in the wasteland a highway for our God! (Isa 40:2-3 NABO) Just as it is appointed that human beings die - be judged - appear a second time, (so also Christ) Heb 9:27-28 …as the (Red) Dragon (Demon Sin) stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth. (Rev 12:4 NABO) Warning of the impending Day of the Lord, he was swallowed by the Beast out of the Sea and spewed out upon the shore as the Beast out of the Earth, as the sun beat down upon his head and a burning east wind began the Way of the Lord in the Desert.

Here is the correct & historical meaning of this event. There were 2 political parties, one was called the 'Figtree' & the other was called the 'Vineyard. The Figtree party wanted war with Rome & the Vineyard party wanted peace. In addition to the missions of the Essenes & the ruling Herods, there was another mission in Rome. This was the one called the 'Figtree'. From 4BC, the dispute about the Herodian succession that had been fought out in Rome between the brothers Archelaus & Antipas had led to a splitting of Herodian loyalties. Antipas must have established a different house, & the mission that continued from his house continued to be hostile to the ruling Herods. This mission which looked to the Therapeuts of Egypt rather than to Palestinian Essenes for its ascetic discipline was called the Figtree because Therapeuts did not drink wine & were skilled in the medical arts. The Vineyard & the Figtree were associated but had separate organizations. As a parable in Luke says, 'A Figtree was planted in a Vineyard'. Simon Magus was a subsequent leader of the Zealot Figtree mission, closely associated with the tetrarch Antipas. On Mondqy, March 2, 33AD Jesus went to the temple treasury (in Qumran) at the time for money collection. No fulfillment has occurred for those expecting a Restoration at SS3969 (1st position, Samaritan 31st). Jesus says it's because of the financial corruption & overturns the furniture of the banking system. The next day was March 3. When there was no fulfillment at the regular 31st, Jesus attacks the Herodian form of mission, including that of 5he tetrarch, the 'Figtree'. When he 'cursed the figtree' he was condemning their financial exploitation, zealot ambitions & their methods which were compromising the mission, & he expelled them.

Yes, it happened in AD70 when the Roman army destroyed the temple .... just as Jesus had predicted . Please read the whole chapter( Mathew 24 ) in context . The one taken was taken in judgement , The one left was spared from Gods wrath . Jesus explains this in the next few verses . "As in the days of Noah .... " This text is not about a rapture . Nor is it about the end of the world . This is one of the most misrepresented and misunderstood chapters in the Bible . Blessings ! ! Hope this helps someone .

Who's the bridegroom? According to the scriptures. Christian is my loved one, Wife and Bride. Isaiah 54:5 For your Maker is your husband- the Lord Almighty is his name- the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth. Isaiah 62:5 As a young man marries a young woman, so will your Builder marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you. Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. Romans 8:11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. John 12:44 Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in me does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. John 5:17 In his defense Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.” John 14:10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. With love and light, Troy aka Life

Come ,said the bridegroom come... Ephesians 5:26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, Her helper, said Come! Isaiah 34:16 Look in the scroll of the Lord and read: None of these will be missing, not one will lack her mate. For it is his mouth that has given the order, and his Spirit will gather them together. John 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever- The Marriage Covenant messenger, God has placed. Christian, my loved one. Wife and Bride. Come Romans 8:11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. 1 Corinthians 15:44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 1 Corinthians 15:46 The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. John 14:23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. John 6:32 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 2 Corinthians 2:16 To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task? 2 Corinthians 4:10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. Revelation 5:6 Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. James 4:5 Or do you think Scripture says without reason that he jealously longs for the spirit he has caused to dwell in us? Colossians 1:16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 1 Peter 4:11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Mark 8:38 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.” John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. -- --Genesis 9:5 And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. Ezekiel 14:20 as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, even if Noah, Daniel and Job were in it, they could save neither son nor daughter. They would save only themselves by their righteousness. Isaiah 66:3 But whoever sacrifices a bull is like one who kills a person, and whoever offers a lamb is like one who breaks a dog’s neck; whoever makes a grain offering is like one who presents pig’s blood, and whoever burns memorial incense is like one who worships an idol. They have chosen their own ways, and they delight in their abominations; Psalm 40:6 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire- but my ears you have opened- burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require. CHRISTIAN IS! WAS! AND WILL BE! Isaiah 62:1 [ Zion’s New Name ] For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. Psalm 14:7 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the Lord restores his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad! Psalm 50:2 From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth. Psalm 53:6 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When God restores his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad! Psalm 133:3 It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore. Psalm 134:3 May the Lord bless you from Zion, he who is the Maker of heaven and earth. Song of Songs 3:11 come out, and look, you daughters of Zion. Isaiah 2:3 Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. Isaiah 4:4 The Lord will wash away the filth of the women of Zion; he will cleanse the bloodstains from Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of fire. ---Isaiah 18:7 At that time gifts will be brought to the Lord Almighty from a people tall and smooth-skinned, from a people feared far and wide, an aggressive nation of strange speech, whose land is divided by rivers- the gifts will be brought to Mount Zion, the place of the Name of the Lord Almighty. Isaiah 24:23 The moon will be dismayed, the sun ashamed; for the Lord Almighty will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and before its elders-with great glory. Isaiah 28:16 So this is what the Sovereign Lord says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic. Isaiah 29:8 as when a hungry person dreams of eating, but awakens hungry still; as when a thirsty person dreams of drinking, but awakens faint and thirsty still. So will it be with the hordes of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion. Isaiah 31:4 This is what the Lord says to me: “As a lion growls, a great lion over its prey- and though a whole band of shepherds is called together against it, it is not frightened by their shouts or disturbed by their clamor- so the Lord Almighty will come down to do battle on Mount Zion and on its heights. Isaiah 31:9 Their stronghold will fall because of terror; at the sight of the battle standard their commanders will panic,” declares the Lord, whose fire is in Zion, whose furnace is in Jerusalem. Isaiah 33:5 The Lord is exalted, for he dwells on high; he will fill Zion with his justice and righteousness. ----Isaiah 33:14 The sinners in Zion are terrified; trembling grips the godless: “Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning?” Isaiah 33:20 Look on Zion, the city of our festivals; your eyes will see Jerusalem, a peaceful abode, a tent that will not be moved; its stakes will never be pulled up, nor any of its ropes broken. I will grant salvation to Zion, my splendor to Israel. Isaiah 51:1 [ Everlasting Salvation for Zion ] “Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the Lord: Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn; Isaiah 51:3 The Lord will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing. Isaiah 51:11 Those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. Isaiah 51:16 I have put my words in your mouth and covered you with the shadow of my hand- I who set the heavens in place, who laid the foundations of the earth, and who say to Zion, ‘You are my people.’” Isaiah 52:1 Awake, awake, Zion, clothe yourself with strength! Put on your garments of splendor, Jerusalem, the holy city. The uncircumcised and defiled will not enter you again. Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!” -- -- --Isaiah 52:8 Listen! Isaiah 61:3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. Isaiah 62:11 The Lord has made proclamation to the ends of the earth: “Say to Daughter Zion, ‘See, your Savior comes! See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him.’” Isaiah 66:8 Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children. --- - ---Jeremiah 3:14 “Return, faithless people,” declares the Lord, “for I am your husband. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of Daughter Zion. Lamentations 4:11 The Lord has given full vent to his wrath; he has poured out his fierce anger. He kindled a fire in Zion that consumed her foundations. Zechariah 9:13 I will bend Judah as I bend my bow and fill it with Ephraim. I will rouse your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece, and make you like a warrior’s sword. 1 Peter 2:6 For in Scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame. ” Opened book, Troy aka Life
