As a Filipino growing up in Hong Kong, I was exposed to a booming toy subculture, which was how I first came across Quiccs' Teq63 toys. I thought they were the coolest combination of everything that I loved (anime, hip hop and fashion), but finding out that it was the work of a Filipino artist?? That just made me an instant fan!! Now, I managed to buy a Mega Teq63 of the Mandalorian colorway, which I am very excited to arrive! We need more artists like Quiccs to represent that Pinoy Pride, let 'em know we out here! 😄

congrats dahil successful sya, pero wlang pang babash ano dyan ang original design nya? all i see are copies of gundam, mazinger, evangelion helmets and other japanese anime design w jackets on and adidas shoes. nkakasad sana manlang binago ng konti kung inspired talaga sya sa gundam atleast create his own unique robot head, eh kopya lahat eh. need ba talaga mang pirate lagi. ok cguro sa umpisa pwede pa pero sikat na gnun parin. he has skills and talent wish he would stop copying other peoples designs. i would love to buy one of is REAL ORIGINAL CREATION!

Hindi naman siya direct copy eh. More like inspired lang. Paano ka naman sisikat kung original nga yung toy mo pero wala naman established fanbase. Eh ang gundam anlaki fanbase niyan kahit saan sa mundo kuha mo lahat. Eh pag gagawa ka ng original toy, carabao in hiphop outfit for example, sino mahahatak mo? Carabao lovers? Gaano kalaki fanbase niyan?

@@willfrostx Ang direct copy, kumbaga sa photograph hanggang bawat isang pixel ay kopyang kopya 1:1 copy kumbaga, xerox. Now kung may sariling flavor mo yang kinopya mo, aka hiphop flavor then hindi na siya direct copy, hindi na rin siya illegal. Kinuha nga niya yung elements ng gundam natural magmumukhang gundam yan at yun yung purpose niya talaga magmukhang gundam kasi andon ang pera. Yung sa china naman direct copy yun. Mag google ka nga ng gundam sabihin mo sakin kung 1 is to 1 ba ang kopya ni quiccs. Diba hindi? Yung rendition ni quiccs simplified at cute. Tanong ko may sumikat na bang gawang pinoy na walang western o eastern influences? WALA. Sumikat na ba si batibot at kokey globally? HINDI. Si darna nga kopya din eh. Kahit jollibee mascot may mickey mouse elements.
