That’s so interesting bc for us in the US, eggs are SKY HIGH expensive! $10/ carton sometimes. Strange to see how inflation affects different things in different regions.

​​@@Jk53121 here in the Philippines, eggs are at around 9 pesos ($17 cents) each, but you can buy one tray, around 30 pcs, for 250 pesos (around $4.59), and yes this is already considered expensive here.

@@Jk53121 Actually ours was done by infamous onion cartels. Basically the cartel bought directly from the farmers BEFORE they were ready for harvest and then kept them in cold storage. They even let tons of FRESH onions spoil just to drive the price up. Once the price went up, the FROZEN onions were sold to retailers. The worse part? The farmers were paid on the pre-harvest rate so they made pennies on the dollar while the cartels pocketed the inflation money.
