As a Chinese from Malaysia, i will pick Uncle Roger's version because that's how we cook fried rice here BUT i would say Gordon Ramsay's version are more flavourful. The sambal all ready has msg and strong taste. Then the rendang paste consists a lot of spices and aromatics. It's funny 3 of them didn't mention anything about the flavour. That guy in the middle who like Jamie's version. His tongue is either spoiled or he just hate flavour.

@WhoStoleMyAlias9 ай бұрын
@@untadagang6172 I had the same idea as I read that post. Uncle Roger's version is a Chinese style fried rice, like the girl said what you would order/expect in a restaurant. The one from Gordon is more like oma made it and the main thing she taught me was that there is no strict list of ingredients, you use what you have and that includes the other leftovers. Cultural difference, we have nasi goreng as a one pot diner so it usually contains some type of protein which may or may not include egg and if it does it goes on top, not scrambled.

1:15 what a small amount of jam and water. Jamie paid you to salvaged his cooking or something? None for the pro chef agreed with this method unless their eye's is to white to see. HAIYAA.

I have actually ordered pint of chicken fried rice here in the states (Michigan) many times. Tofu is present. This is from 3 different Chinese restaurants.

I cook fried rice all the time for friends during my travel in the Philippines, both, the more chinese version* like uncle roger's or more indonesian like ramsay'. Filipino tastebuds are interesting. Normie Manilenyos really doesn't like flavours like the middle guy but Kapampangan, Maranaos, even Ilocanos they love both versions. Anywho, where to buy galangal and lesser galangal, fresh or paste, in the PH? The last time i found it was in Baler in 2018-9, in friend' garden. *Chinese not malaysian because it doesn't have blacan/trasi. U can substitute it with 4x of bagoong alamang ofc.
