Bears are an awesome fit. D linemen like Hicks, Goldman and the emerging Bullard. Add him to a linebacker corps that already has Trevethan, Floyd and Lynch and they could wreck havoc.

Did just that. Signed Khalil Mack and have a great d line in Chicago. He will be able to attack gaps and go after the running back. The bears built around him nicely and hopefully it all comes together.

After a little over a year into his NFL career the guy has been phenomenal. He flies all over the field and makes plays everywhere. I have also seen him shed blocks and make tackles so he must have gotten stronger or learned better technique or something.

Must say as a Georgia fan that this is spot on. Roquan is the most instinctive LB that I can remember us ever having, and his closing speed is ridiculous. Some of his snaps against Orlando Brown in the Rose Bowl were painful though, bc Lincoln Riley exposed his weakness and got big bodies on him. Also, most of us watch the Falcons; you mentioned Telvin Smith and Lavonte David, but I think Deion Jones is another excellent comparison for Roquan.

Going to the Bears at 8 was a good fit for him. They had the 10th ranked defense last year and a solid veteran in Danny Trevathan to help mentor Smith. He will also inevitably get stronger in the NFL.

The Bears solution to "protecting" Roquan was to force the other team to devote extra bodies to defending against Mack. There is no reason the Bears can't win the SB this year, as long as Allen Robinson steps up.
