When he was young, he was a dead ringer for a young Mick Jagger. But god, in the first clip he looks so young. How old was he at the time? He looks to be 12/13/14 in that clip.

My God, he made some terrible pictures! Pity really, as he is not a bad actor. Sadly, after 1979, he was virtually unemployable in films. The Confessions series represented the absolute nadir of British cinema, and they came to be synonymous with just one actor. Along with Oliver Tobias movies, they are almost a definition of bad taste in the 1970s. Lord only knows how Askwith kept body and soul together after they stopped churning these films out. Perhaps he went out of acting altogether?

He's one of the stars of a detective series on Channel 5. He's done quite a few bits and bobs

He wasn't unemployable he appeared in more films including a sitcom in 1984 'Bottle Boys' and retired to Gozo in the Med. He appeared in the film U571 with Matthew McConaughy in 2000

My criticism wasn't of Robin Askwith. I think that he did the best that he could with the material he was given. You could see the man had talent. Unfortunately, he was trying to make a living during the worst years of British cinema, and I am sure that it affected his career long-term. Sadly, you mention his name today, and people always think of him as the star of crummy, soft-porn comedies.
