A short montage celebrating the work of Steven Spielberg. Set to music from John Williams.
[the films of] was a 12-part, yearlong project on KZbin, created to showcase some of our time's finest filmmakers. It has been an amazing journey for me, and hopefully for some of the thousands of viewers who have supported me this past year. I have gained a new perspective on film and the process behind it, and my passion for the medium has grown to new heights. I want to thank everyone who accompanied me during this project, and I hope it was as satisfying watching it as it was creating it.
[the films of] is a collection by Kees van Dijkhuizen, which focusses on the inspiring filmmakers that shape film as we know it, visualising their variety and progression through the years.

I love how even in this montage, you can see how Spielberg, more then any other filmmaker, can switch so effortlessly from genre and genre and from tone to tone. One of the reasons he’s one of my favorite directors and I don’t think he get’s enough credit for that.

I love how you separate this video to two parts, the first part, his Sci-Fi movies which are uplifting and adventurous, and the second part, his war films, heavy and provoking...Spielberg's films have accompanied me throughout my childhood. I see that you get a lot of responses requesting more entries into this series. I would like to not only commend your efforts and talent for these tributes, but say that as much as I would love to see you tackle some other greats like Scorsese or Kubrick, I think you have ended the series on the perfect note. I don't think any other filmmaker quite evokes the same love I and countless others have for movies as Spielberg does. I don't want to imagine a world without Steven Spielberg. Bravo.
