Welcome to Part 39 of my FIRST EVER playthrough of The Witcher 3 Complete Edition- today's the day we finally beat the game!!! Watch as we face off against Eredin Bréacc Glas and The Wild Hunt in one last epic battle to save Ciri and stop the White Frost from destroying the planet...
Thank you all so much for watching this playthrough all the way to the end! Making decisions at the end of this was so tough, especially regarding Ciri, but I really tried my best to do what Geralt would do! Let me know what you think about my ending in the comments and if it was good or bad??
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a 2015 action RPG developed and published by CD Projekt Red. We take control Geralt of Rivia, a mercenary for hire known as a Witcher. @@PaigeTheWitch Hi, Heart of Stones is in my opinion not so good as Blood and Vine. For me Blood and Vine ist the Best dlc ever. Its like a complete new Game with epic story. Paige you are in youre Clips very symphatic. Sry if my english isnt that good, greetings

Ciri fighting on the ice is a nod to the books. That scene of her on the ice is terrifyingly beautiful. One on the characters exclaims "that wench is death" as she takes them out one by one and they are powerless to stop her. I got the same ending on my first play through, the ride back on Roach was a slow one, trying to process the whole thing. Though I was able to kill Radovid and Temeria wasn't taken over by him.

By both breaking Dijkstra's leg and also ignoring Emhyr you got the worst ending in terms of the political situation. Probably the best one for Geralt and Ciri individually though

I got lucky the first time and got the best ending on almost all metrics. But being a guy I romanced both Yen and Triss. Got my balls blue in the end.

@@marcin7054 I could never let Dijkstra win, especially not after Roche came to Kaer Morhen when Geralt asked him. It's just not an option. My default choices are Ciri as Empress, Yennefer with Geralt. It's not an idyllic perfect ending for Ciri but sometimes the best choice isn't also the most pleasant one at all times as well.

Radovid's victory over Nilfgaard is the best ending politically

@@marcin7054 He does not kill "every person connected with mage and non-human". This is a huge exaggeration and not a feasible goal, even if he wanted to do that. Yes, witch hunters kill some of them. Even the Inquisition in real life, on which Redania's witch hunters are based, had the numbers of its victims numbered in a few thousands. And in the books it is stated that Redanian witch hunts would operate only for several years. Despite the fact that for some freedom under Redania would prove tragic, for the majority of Nordlings it is still a much better fate than Nilfgaardian conquest. Nilfgaard is an aggressive, imperialist moloch based on slave economy. It started a brutal war of expansion against the North, unprovoked, for the third time. Nilfgaard for the last 30 years did everything in its power to actively make life in the North worse for its inhabitants. The very fact that the North hates mages and non-humans so much now is in large part the fault of Nilfgaard (again, events of the books and Witcher 2 game). Radovid meanwhile, with all his faults, is fighting a just war in defense of the North and is the only one capable of stopping Emhyr (technically Djikstra too can finish that, after Radovid does most of the hard work done, but this involves betraying Roche, so its out of the question for me). Read the books - in the games Nilfgaard turly is sugar coated while the books show how previous Nilfgaardian conquests and two previous Nilgfaardian invasions of the North looked like. Nilfgaardian Empire has a system of mass slavery with forced labour camps. It multiple times performed genocides and cultural genocides. It often engages in forced reesetlement policies, in which conquered populations are expelled from their land deep into the Empire and native Nilfgaardian colonists settle the conquered land in their stead. And Nilgfaardians are not much less fanatic in their faith in the Emperor, the State and the Great Sun than the Redanians are in their faith in the Eternal Fire. Radovid wages a just war against the Nilfgaardian aggressor and while some will unjustly suffer under his reign, the overall number of Nordlings that will suffer under Nilfgaardian rule would be much, much greater. Radovid is clearly the lesser evil.

I smiled when you contemplated hardly what to choose with your last dialog with Ciri before Tower. It actually does not matter at this point. Outcome is already decided by your actions related to Ciri after you find her, but I guess you already know that. Thanks for those series, it was joy to watch, cant wait for DLCs! :)

56:20 "What did I do?" - The game is showing you the moments where your choices could have affected the particular ending for the game you were about to get. You got the Witcher ending because: 1. You chose to accompany Ciri to Bald Mountain instead of taking her to Emhyr 2. You chose the snowball fight instead of getting drunk with her 3. You let her smash up the lab 4. You went with her to visit Skjall's grave You also could have let her talk to the sorceresses alone, but it didn't matter that you didn't. You only needed to do the first one and two out of the other four to get that ending. If you'd have made the wrong choices Ciri would have died. There is also another ending where Ciri becomes Empress of Nilfgaard, but that requires doing certain questlines as well as the 'good' choices above.

Ah, I was wondering why she got a different ending than mine even though all those flashbacks were the same as mine. I got the Empress ending. I did choose to rid the world of Radovid while she didn't is the biggest difference in our playthroughs I can think of...

@@Tommi462 You can also kill Radovid and still get the best ending - but you have to sacrifice Roche and his people to Dijkstra which is heartbreaking.

@@kamilkrupinski1793 Not at all lol. All u have to do to avoid Empress ending is to not take Ciri to Vizima after killing Imlerith. Ive saved Roche and Talar to kill Djikstra + Cerys as queen and that IN MY OPINION leads to the best possible ending

@@m3zuss Well, if you kill both Radovid and Dijkstra and not let Ciri be the Empress, Emhyr will conquer the North (as far as I remember) and this is not the best ending.

I really like the writing, storytelling and how CDPR played with our emotions at the end.... That heavy heart despair you feel, when you think that your decisions led to Ciri´s death. Game sends you to to do some quest, which feel utterly irrelevant to your sadness, only to suddenly shift to happiness and relief, when you find out that Ciri survived :)

Well. Letting Radovid win the war isn't really a "good" ending, imo. It's a shame Paige didn't come by Tomiras hut at the end. (The herbalist in White Orchard from the beginning). Where Witch hunters are about to burn her at the stake, following Radovids perspecution of non-humans. And Geralt can intervene.

I loved your play through of this game especially because you paid attention to all of the little details and gave the story the time of day. I can see that you were also very involved in this and appreciated the game. In terms of ending I have seen most if not all of them and I contend that there is no actual perfect or even good ending. But I think that's the beauty of it, while I also felt bad about some of my decisions the first time around I can now see that the endings all play on the persons own moral preferences and can be seen for their faults as well as their perks. Someone might think killing radovid to be the best option but if you play through the other endings you will see that not everything turns out as expected. I hope that you will also enjoy both of the DLC's, this game is at the end of the day a masterpiece.

Edit: Just saw the ending of the video where you said not to talk about the other Endings, I mentioned the worst ending below, if you don't want it to be spoiled then don't read this. There are endings where Ciri dies, your interactions with Ciri either make her doubt herself or empower her. If you make the right choices when talking to her she will survive and have a good ending, there are others where she survives but still doesn't get a good ending cause of other factors. The worst ending is heartbreaking though cause Geralt loses everyone, he then goes to Crookback bog where the last Crone makes fun of him, Geralt kills her and then sits alone in despair as monsters close in during a sunset, due to Geralt not getting an epilogue after that ending he most likely let the monsters devour him. I personally don't think you got the best ending but it was very good, I mean specifically with Redania. While I'm not a fan of Nilfgard I prefer them to Radovid.

Good Ending: Ciri becomes empress... Regular Ending: Ciri becomes a Witch... Bad Ending: Ciri dies... Bad decisions and lack of good memories led to the average ending... But good GamePlay. 😉

Ciri is an adult and can make her own decisions and it is not up to Geralt to treat her like a child who doesn't know what she's talking about. Hearts of Stone is merge of some great polish and german legends. Notice the esthetics changes from medieval to XVII/XVIII century as far as the clothing is concerned (traditional polish nobleman suits that is)

Fringilla is one of Geralt's many former "friends." You really need to do the two DLCs. Hearts of Stone is shorter, but the story is excellent and Blood and Wine gives a final send off to Geralt that he deserves based on all the decisions you've made throughout the game or games if you used a Witcher 2 save port, though the Witcher 3 decisions mean the most.
