There seems to be a bug at the moment, where you can only hire mercenaries if you hired them first, before the baron could hire them instead. One one of you has hired them, they are permanently unavailable for the other. That's why the baron always attacks with several types of mercenaries. He bought them first.

@@daviddanser8011nope the definition of mercenary is a guy who’s fighting for the highest bidder basically. And if the highest bidder changes they change sides

I don´t know if my game is bugged , but baron did not claim any more lands and bandits stopped appearing caping my influence gain.

I think they did quite a few patches from this save to the released version so there might be difference

Why I'm having 2 baron's armies attacking me? Two times 8x36 zergs? WTF is that?

this was a preview build the game has been updated since :) For what its worth that sounds way more fun

​@@ThreatX not really. First army 9x36 plus 3x36 mercenaries available only for baron. For me they disappeared right after taking 7/8 regions. Second wave after defeating first wave 8x36 more. I'm building 6th x24 retinue squad now and try again. P.S. yes, I did it with 6x24 retinue, 2x36 swords and 1x36 spears. It was another bug. If you are fighting outside battle circle and win, then second same army will instantly appear. Finished game with bugged food in 3 of 6 regions had disappearing food from any amount down to -3, bugged army with 220 gambesons in the storage< but they all could put just 22/36, bugged trading and bugged population which were doing absolutely nothing 90% of time. This game is a total mess.

Another video displaying the stupid combat AI. Looks like you'll be able to defeat enemy forces 4 or 5 times larger than your own. I'll still be buying the game when it's released but my excitement is waning after watching these trivial battles. The AI continues to be rubbish.

After reading the devs post about the games development I would say I would view the game as a city builder that happens to have a bit of combat. If you are looking for a game that will be hard to beat unfortunately I do no think it will get there even after full release.
