15:25 So, the Orange area is the "Logistics network", this is the area Logistics bots operate in. Bots also have access to any provider/storage chests in that area. Then the green area is the "Construction Area", construction bots are able to build anywhere in green and it represents the maximum "range" of the roboport. Overlapping logistics networks are interconnected, but every now and then I run into a problem where bots will say they don't have mats for construction, and it'll be because *one* roboport in the corner is misaligned and the logi network doesn't touch the main one. BUT, you can also USE this feature to setup separate logistics networks, like say for mining outposts, as at high level bots can actually move items faster than blue belts so long as they don't have to fly very far and you have enough of them. However IF the outpost is connected to the wider logi-net bots from your MAIN BASE might try to fulfill those requests and carry stuff across the whole map. (Which, I think actually happened to *you* in the last playthrough iirc, and a bunch of robots ended up flying over a biter next in the middle of a lake and dying :P )

Quick tip: Roboports give radar coverage now, so once you get roboports down on your walls there's no need to waste extra power on radars :)

ROBOT TIP! You can have your inserters deposit the bots directly into a roboport, and it will "activate" them and add it to your network. BUT that can quickly overfill that one roboport and block them from entering. So, what you can do is connect a wire between the roboport and the inserter, and check the option on the roboport to "Read robot statistics". I forget the codes, but you can set them to insert based on how many AVAILABLE bots there are in the network. That means, if your network doesn't have enough to do what it needs, it will automatically add bots to make up for it. This allows your bot network to grow automatically to whatever size it needs. I like to set mine to insert construction or logistic bots when the "available" bots is less than 100. That also ensures that the roboport you're inserting to has enough space to take the new bots, because since they're all busy, that means they're flying around instead of sitting idle in the port. Keep growing that factory!!

For your Personal Logistic tab. you can have separate categories for different things which you can turn on or off whenever you want. So you can have a dedicated Belt category you can easily update when you get better belts, and so on. You can also drag the items inside of the category around so you can sort it after you've made it.

For the Logistic request in your inventory, you don't need to put the 0 for items you do not want in your inventory anymore. There is a checkbox at the top which says "Trash Unrequested" which does exactly what it says

Hey Kibitz! You can insert the robots directly into the roboport using an insertion arm. If you are worried about making too many robots and wasting resources on idle robots you can use logic wires to prevent that. By connecting logic wires between the insertion arm and roboport, you can enable insertion arm whenever you have low numbers of idle robots and disable inserting new robots into the network when there are high numbers of idle robots. This should ensure that you have an organic number of robots in your base, deploying more robots to meet demand. I would also suggest putting the construction robots in a passive provider to ensure you always have construction robots after an adventure.

16:00 A bit of Quality of Life you can set up for yourself: You can set up separate subgroups of logistics requests. Personally, I set up a whole bunch of them and can turn them on or off as needed, e.g. a general essentials tab for stuff like belts, pipes, and all the things you always want to have around, a tab for mining outpost supplies which includes miners, pumpjacks and some extra belts (separate instances of the same request stack), a tab for building a smelter which includes furnaces, extra inserters, and so on. Whenever I go do something on Nauvis, I just select what I need for the specific build and it'll get sorted automatically.

U have to use two splitters to split off both Ressources then split off Red Circuits from there. Also made that little Oopsie in my Factory more then once 😅 Cant wait for the next Episode. A little tip: You can set target priorities on turrets. Set your lasers to prioritize spitters. The biters will just snack at the wall while dying miserably to your flamethrowers, but the spitters currently won't get targeted until the biters are all dead since by default turrets target closest first. Also, your wall will take damage if Behemoths show up, which with the amount of nests killing you're doing is probably not too far away, so setting up Roboports with some Repair/Replacement materials (Ideally fully automated) is heavily recommended, especially before taking a vacation on one of the other planets, which will remove you from Nauvis for quite some time.

Hi kibz, the best way I know for using the tank, cannon shells (standard not explosive) for the biter bases and worm, flamethrower fuel for biters, and machines guns with best available ammo for spitters. Once you get personal lasers, make a spare set of armour rammed full of them + power generation & storage, then wear that whenever you're smashing the bugs :)

(~) 10:30 You can use underneathie pipes to connect to a further pipe tbh. That way you can feed two belts on each side. People do that with both assemblers with fluid recipes and chemical plants all the time; I kinda feel like it's the classical way of handling it. Alternatively, you can also rotate two assemblers so their fluid connection faces each other and connect them with a pipe, then bring the connection out and away from the assembler stack and run two or more belts around the assemblers. Also, an unrelated tip. Two assemblers with a gap and two more assemblers with a small (and medium) power pole in the gap provides enough coverage for any inserter in range and the assemblers WITHOUT power area overlap. Medium power pole is generally better, but the small one works early game as well. ;) 12:26 Me when I wonder if he'll notice the mistake lol (edit: 13:16 fixed heh) 15:30 You can add different groups now in Space Age/2.0 so you can toggle on/off certain logistics requests depending on your needs at various stages of the game. No need to put everything in one unnamed logistics group! I'll normally have a trash group that has certain items as MAX ZERO so they get auto-trashed and sent back into the logistics network. And something I learned last night... you can have the same items in two groups and it'll request a combined total of that item. 20:35 It's all fun and games until you look at your tank's health and see it's 3/2000 lol (Happened to me once, and I survived) Also, distractor modules are great too. they draw worm spit and do decent continuous, and at night, if you have enough of them deployed and firing... you're just giving the bugs a good rave before you murder them. ;)

Tip: If you make a blue print on a building that has a recipe selected, you can make that a parameter and if you now use that blueprint it will ask you for what recipe to use. BTW... i know Kibz likes Chooo.. thy now have some nice new toys like interrupts and parameter that can be any material your station now needs and there is more :P

If you want more personal bots for the time being, you can put more than one roboport in your armour. Helps with big building jobs. Later you'll get nicer armour that will let you have more slots for the bots and all. Also, you can look into Quality which also help with more modules, bots and all that. But that's behind some research.

You can put multiple roboports in your armour, once you get bigger and better armours it's not unnusual to be running around with 4-10 roboports in there depending on personal preference. Also, the tank has an equipment grid too, you can put roboports in the tank too for building, or personal laser defenses for pest control

When copying a section of wall, or similar tileable things, hold shift as you select them, turn on "Snap to Grid" and "Relative", you can now just drag the blueprint and it will space itself out properly.

2 things, 1, the distance from the spawn point of the map, ie ground zero to the edge of the map, is the same distance as the capital of France, to the capital of Spain. 2 Biters/natives will only attack if they are absorbing pollution, ie they are in the cloud.

Just FYI, you got the logistics roboports mostly right, just backwards - the orange area is the logistics zone; any logistics chest not in an orange area will flash a warning, and roboports whose orange areas touch share the same network. Green zones are the areas robots build in. You’ll also notice that, when your personal roboport is on, a green zone will follow you representing where your personal bots will build.

nice job kibitz! just fyi, when you used the filter setting on the splitter its no longer sending red circuits to chem science. You need two splitters or you can use a splitter and an underground belt to block the sulfur.

Biters will focus your defenses depending on specific weaknesses, corners in your walls are such a weakness as they present less wall and less turrets per attacking biter. Instead of 90° Corners in your walls, you might want to make 45° sections that connect two straight walls.

Blueprint tip: You can make your walls "tileable" by right clicking their blueprint. That way, you can just click and drag in any direction without needing to manually realign.

im pretty sure there is a type of drone that automatically refills turrets ammo. you just need to supply the ammo and the drones will refill them when they are low

Hey Kibitz as far as I know new Nests spawn everywhere in „unknown“ are Like every tile out of sight from you or a radar. So there is a possibility that they spawn inside the walls. To prevent this every tile inside the Walls has to be revealed by radar.
