Kokichi was aware that someone among them was the mastermind so he couldn't afford leaking any of his findings, not yet at least. He doesn't trust anyone completely, except Shuichi since he's willing to face the truth, and had to make a plan to save all of them by himself. Kokichi really was the Ultimate Supreme Leader, making the tough decisions and lead everyone to victory. Gonta, Miu, Kaito, and all of the past victims' deaths weren't in vain.

During that killing game, Kokichi was the real detective behind the scenes, even his room showed signs of investigative work, while Shuichi fought on the frontlines protecting everyone. It's actually sweet because Kokichi admires the work that detectives do.
