To anyone disappointed I didn't go to the Void, let me explain my reasoning. By this point in the series I had been streaming this game for a few weeks and had gotten a few episodes up on KZbin. By then, I'd had people ask and tell me to go the Void and either outright spoil what was out there, or try to be vague and cryptic and unintentionally spoil it anyway. I ultimately decided not to go because 1) Literally everyone has done it already, and there's nothing to see out there except the Adult Ghost Leviathans, which I had been spoiled on anyway, and 2) My reaction to it wouldn't have been genuine, or visceral in anyway. It would've been a "Oh that was neat, okay hope you all enjoyed that" moment, and nothing memorable at all. What made my first sighting of the Reaper memorable for me and the series was because I not only did not know the thing existed, but had no idea ANYTHING was there at all. I loved my time with this game but trying to avoid spoilers for anything was like walking through a minefield. That's the disadvantage of playing a game as vulnerable to spoiler-syndrome as this one. I love to discover and learn games on my own time and in my own way, so I'll likely miss things or unintentionally screw myself over in parts; that's just part of the journey. So, one aspect of the game was kinda soured because of its popularity among viewers, but that overall did little to stop me from enjoying this series. Subnautica is still one of my favorite games now and I'll absolutely play Below Zero (and have been streaming some of it, since I got impatient) fully once its all done. tl;dr : Didn't go to the Void because it was spoiled heavily for me.

I doubt the debt the survivor owes is more than the combined worth of single handily making a planet a viable colony, bringing back examples of superior alien technology adapted for human use, deactivating the defense system on the planet this technology came from, curing an alien plague that wiped out the technologically superior species and was capable of infecting humans, completing the original mission of the Aurora, and leaving multiple bases for new teams to inhabit when the company returns. Oh and meeting and communicating with SENTIENT ALIEN LIFE THAT TALKED BACK WITH TELEPATHY...and hazard pay That survivor may not be rich but he is definitely is not being a debt slave after that. I’m so glad that I started watching your streams shortly after you started playing this game; I loved your content before, but tuning in every week to see your various antics and laugh with you at them has made me appreciate you as well. I absolutely adore everything about the way you brought this together. Your reactions to the Sea Emperor, both in the last episode and here, felt in many ways more... I guess you could call it more “honest” than a lot of other reactions I’ve seen. It felt as heart-wrenching now as it was when I first saw it in-game, likely aided in no small part by your masterful implementation of “Triage at Dawn” (brilliant choice there). Same goes for the farewells to Poot n’ Toot. And the finale was simply awesome in every sense of the word. Your message was great when you first wrote it out, but your voiceover here and the music overlay just elevated it to so much more. The montage at the end capped off everything nicely. In short, a masterpiece. Love you and your content, Seth. Can’t wait to see what’s next, whatever it may be!

Man this was a trip, it was fun to revisit this series and if you ever feel like you don't know what to do, Subnautica has great replayability, I've beat it at least 3 seperate times now and each one was fun in their own way, there's so many things to explore that even me, a veteran, can find things I never knew existed in this game, and The game really lets you get creative.

And this is why I waited to watch your Subnautica play through on KZbin instead of watching Twitch streams and VODs. Your editing. Your music choices. The way you string it all together in a way that makes it all feel so grand in the end. This is why I love your videos. This is why I love you as a creator. Because you put your heart and soul into it, pouring every ounce of effort you can into your production. And for that I thank you. Thank you for another great video, another great series and yet another great time. I look forward to what you do next.

The one dislike this has does not have a soul, period. In all seriousness, I've watched and played this game more then I can count. Yet, this blind playthrough got me in the feelings. The speech, your reaction to the last breaths of the great sea empress, whom I have nicknamed Imperatix, and your departure. All of it was worth the watch. So long, Empirica. Until Below Zero.

I know this is an older series, but I found this playthrough because of your Subnautica video essay and I have to say it's been a very long time since I've enjoyed watching someone play Subnautica this much. I watch a lot of people play this for the first time, and many of them have been spoiled before (understandable, seeing how long this game has been out and how many content creators have covered it), don't have the patience to explore the game properly, or are just worried their viewers won't have the patience to see them figure things out themselves, so they sort of rush through. Seeing you take your time, explore, read what was given to you, understanding and letting yourself be taken by the wonderful world of this game has been an amazing experience. I've replayed Subnautica countless times, but following along with your series gave me a sort of excitement similar to how I felt when I was first introduced to this game. Your reactions were so genuine and so alike my own - I'm still touched by the Sea emperor's death, but your "oh" of understanding is what moved me to tears again after having experienced it so many times. Seeing someone truly appreciate this game, its world and its story has been a really memorable watch. Great series, great presentation, and I'm looking forward to watching more of your content! (Also wth is wrong with that rocket xDD)

Hah his reaction to the encoding overloaded message, I’m never surprised when seeing it, as I see it every time I record or stream. I guess someone has a good pc huh...

I still can’t really bare that ending. Subnautica was such a great game with so much fun and so much nostalgia. And bust that ending man. There will be nothing like it. It has so many memories in me and still hurts to see it go each time. Especially those damn cuddle fish, fully can’t handle them and saying goodbye.

lol so YOU'RE the one who wrote that time capsule note! On my first play through of this game like a year and a half ago I found that. It was a fricken GODSEND since I'd run out of water and was dehydrating. That stasis rifle was amazing and how I got to scan my first crabsquid. Hats off to you for an amazing journey. This game will forever be one of my favorites and I'm glad that you enjoyed it too.

Subnautica is a gem of a game, is scared me shitless and because of that I haven’t even finished it since I got it when it was fully released, not to mention spoilers killing the rest of my interest of playing. But as I said, it’s a gem of a game and I’m happy you made a series on it, kept me company while i was playing some different games. But that’s it for my message, stay strong. Peace -M

Thoughts of Poot: Daddy gave us extra cuddles today. He seemed sad, so we gave him SUPER HUGS! He didn't play with us, though. He went to the big white thing near nest, and went in. Then it went boom, and went away. Daddy.... did you go away? Daddy, were we bad? Toot is looking for you, but we can't find you, Daddy. It's okay, though. We'll wait for you, Daddy. We love you, Daddy.

My thoughts for what happens after the rocket launch are that the player goes back after getting permission from alterra. (because they literally found alien technology and made a colony on an alien planet already, so why not?)

Play The Forest, i had a similar realization that no other game could "enchant and terrify" me as this game did. The Forest adds a story line, horror, open world life, exploration and a load more enjoyable things. Especially good for streaming.
@undeadprincess57262 жыл бұрын
Love the forest, often call it "land subnautica" and vice versa. The only question I ask is why cannibals are cannibals with blueberries everywhere. Guess they aren't that great at catching rabbits or deer.

I got to say, Seth's playthrough of Subnautica has been the best one I have seen to date. He's immersed in the world and lore of the game, and witty, and despite his fears, he powers on. That and he has incredible luck both to his advantage and detriment, (I.E, When he heard the Seadragon roar in the distance and then shortly looked down to see a Reaper Skeleton, then only to read it and see that it had been dragged down there by something much larger.) Even though I was only able to catch a few streams, Overall this was a blast and I hope once Below Zero is finished that we will see a return of Captain Seth enjoy yet another beautiful ocean world.
