I remember it took so long for me to get gel sacks in my first survival world because of the Reaper Leviathan at the mountain island- I had to resort to going to the Sparse Reef just because of it.

I'm not scared of the leviathans, the games depiction of the ocean is just so good it still creeps me out.

Can confirm the avoiding it because of difficulty thing, I had the opportunity to get it around when the prepare to die edition and had already heard about it and honestly, I wish I got it but I was under the impression it was just hard for the sake of being hard. What I didn’t like about bellow zero was its lack of direction, half the time I had no idea what I should do or how to get somewhere. I didn’t even know the Sam story had a conclusion because the game gave me no reason to believe it did or were it would be.

14:30 - yeah no its not overplayed, I have been playing Subnautica for a couple of years and still am scared so much that when I saw one of those reapers (not the first time) when leaving the Aurora I paused the game, saved like 3times and had my LITTLE brother steer my Seamoth back to my base because i was too scared to even enter the water, now we scare each other by just yelling 'big leviathane'

The single best thing about this game is Al-An learning what it's like to be human, rather than apart of a hive mind network of data. It makes me wonder who actually built the architects. I would presume the old civilization might of actually been humans from a different system, or humanoids that genuinely did have 'humanity' but in times of the great plague opted to transferring themselves into data streams, losing their humanity in the process.

Ok how about this a mode update of this game challenge try to survive in the red virus mode
