Totally agree about the smaller pieces. After 14 years of running my boiler, I have found that the sweet spot for size is around 5-6 inch diameter pieces. Just because you can burn big rounds doesn't mean you should. They still burn just fine, but smaller pieces do seem to be much more efficient. And let's face it, none of us are getting any younger and it's much easier to handle smaller pieces.

Mornin' ( D ), can't believe it's been two weeks already. We've had a few days in the low 60's this week. Startin' to bring up some firewood lil closer to the house for convenience. Eli & I got around two cords of each ready to go while the rest seasons. Who needs a gym, just chop & split, and stack wood for the winter... Stay cool brother... Peace...

Yeah the 1st few weeks of the burning season went by quick. We were near 80 this afternoon here....ugh...not much wood burning weather...lol

Yes Dan maintenance on Equipment is Extremely important. Same thing with my Woodstove Downstairs. Just replaced the Glass In Front of It. I found out when they made the Stove they Actually Broke the Corner, and was all Chipped also. I put a New Door Gasket in it Every Year. It is now Extremely Efficient and burns around 16hours on a load of 3pieces of Wood. Stay Safe out there, cutting more Logs up tomorrow. Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.

The door gaskets are key...I've only had to replace the rope 2 times on mine so far.

Good morning Dan your stove looks about the same design as mine except mine doesn’t use a blower. It just has a electric solenoid that opens the damper, good video, my friend👍🇺🇸

The blower is nice cuz it gets the water back up to temp fairly quick.

Hey Dan, Boiler is looking good. Clean out doesn't look too involved and not much buildup on the door. You mentioned that you were concerned about something on the door when we spoke at the Paul Bunyan show. Ginny and I will have a make a video of our first clean out. We'll try to send that to you. Enjoy your weekend !!! Jon and Ginny (Ms Beaver) 😂

Hey Jon & Ginny...yeah I think the space for air to flow from the blower into the firebox might be a bit clogged up with build up, but it seems to be running fine so we'll see.

I wonder what the cost of electric is to run the pumps and fan of the Wood Master 4400v
@Back40FirewoodАй бұрын
I don't think very much. I do know that with the electric water heater not running when the boiler is that my electric bill is almost cut in half.

Is your respirator just particulate (maybe HEPA) or does it also have organic vapor protction? Bill
