The best scene for me in the movie was when Ray and Wintstone are arguing after Ray gets in trouble. You can feel how passionate Dan is about Ghostbusters and you can see how much he wants to just keep doing these movies. This movie was for sure a major step down from afterlife. It was fun but just kind of another ghostbuster movie

There is lore about slimmer, it comes from IDW comics, so it’s State of Canon is dubious. Basically, The Cult of Gozer was trying to summon the spirit of famine that would rage across the American population in the 1930s, but a spirit of gluttony was conjured instead, and ate the sacrifice (A dead chicken) And went on to haunt that hotel from the movie

Yeah, there's a couple reasons for that. One of the biggest reasons being that film acting and theatre acting are now different majors at the more popular schools and conservatories so a lot of upcoming film actors have no theatre or dramatics training :(

1:55 - Honestly, I think acting has just changed so much. I fully agree with the "you remember how its done", there's this weird level of like, 4th-wall self-awareness that takes me out of so many new movies. It's why I adore Kristen Stewart so much. Her acting can be goofy or over-the-top sometimes, but it's so sincere. And it sells the part way more than the Whedonesque snark in everything. Its also why Stranger Things was such a hit, its shot and acted the old way

Also, a lot of actors now feel like actors playing a character, not the character. Karl Urban disappears into roles like LOTR, Dredd, etc. Harrison Ford in Blade Runner vs Indiana Jones are completely different characters. Normally, every time I see Patton Oswalt in a movie, he's playing Patton Oswalt. So I was surprised how good he was in this
