The Frozen aspect being so short-lived is underwhelming but I don't really see the issue with the villains screentime. 15 minutes is pretty normal. Hell, Gozer had like 5 minutes max in the original.

There is lore about slimmer, it comes from IDW comics, so it’s State of Canon is dubious. Basically, The Cult of Gozer was trying to summon the spirit of famine that would rage across the American population in the 1930s, but a spirit of gluttony was conjured instead, and ate the sacrifice (A dead chicken) And went on to haunt that hotel from the movie

1:55 - Honestly, I think acting has just changed so much. I fully agree with the "you remember how its done", there's this weird level of like, 4th-wall self-awareness that takes me out of so many new movies. It's why I adore Kristen Stewart so much. Her acting can be goofy or over-the-top sometimes, but it's so sincere. And it sells the part way more than the Whedonesque snark in everything. Its also why Stranger Things was such a hit, its shot and acted the old way

Also, a lot of actors now feel like actors playing a character, not the character. To be honest, I actually liked this film. it's corny and has odd scenes, but as a Ghostbusters fan I enjoyed it! Though I see how it is not everyones cup of ice tea.
