Dave, I’m glad you finally got a nice blue cat out of the James river, way to keep after it. I fish the James further inland and we mainly have flatheads and channel cats. Always great to see a masterbaiter at work!

My neck of the woods, fished that area years ago but now the saltwater marsh is right down the road and fish live in that water also thanks for doing a James River adventure, come on back anytime there were fish in the video that makes it a fishing video, and that's why I watch your videos. awesome CFD

You were right there Dave one of our holes where we get the big ones. Nice catch. No question you will be back I know who knows I might see you one day. we like going out of the campground also but the James is a great place for big cats along the whole river. you just have to know where they are. We also know the guide, Adam. He is always on there and yes he has a nice boat. Take care buddy.

Enjoyed James adventure. Come further south. North, Northwest rivers Chesapeak and Currituck Cnty. Slow tides, lazy rivers with bends and deep holes. We have the eels ready. Quiet & peaceful witb 50lbers. Might hear a banjo in the distance. Pretty sure I seen one of them Skwatches getting a drink. Beautiful VA/NC smaller coastal rivers.

New to your content my friend. Im a V.A. resident all my life. Have fished in all the rivers and big lakes in the region. I have done charters on the James with big cats caught. But I must say. Rt 301 bridge is where the monsters are. Brackish water coming into the Potomac. I've spot lighted blues slapping bait fish off the pylons. Biggest for me there was 64inch 52lbs. But my buddies have been spooled off from the Pier at the boat ramp at the bridge. Next time your in the area look it up.

Yep. These blues destroy the native fishery. MD and VA request every blue cat and snakehead be culled. I hate seeing these destructive fish being released.
