To add a bit to this, Birch hired the men who killed Edward and raised haytham into a Templar. Eventually Haytham discovers that Birch hired the men and with Jennifer killed Birch. He also discovered that his father was an assassin but stayed a Templar

@@grislytoons8394no thats not right, haytham was sent to america by the templars and his entire purpose in the colonies was to return to england with his findings, several of the members were templars before joining haytham and case and point would be shay who was probably the most infamous and feared templar in history, to the point where even the french assassins knew of him. if haythams order was separate to the templars shay wouldnt have continued to serve the order after the colonies were lost, his survival also means the american order wasnt wiped out and survived through him, he was just unfortunately occupied at the time, because its safe to say if shay was still around when conor popped up he would’ve been dead before the boston tea party, especially considering shay knew where the homestead was and could’ve simply killed him in his sleep if he wanted.

They never "did Edward dirty", he was already doomed from the beginning. The details of his death were already laid out in the AC3 tie-in novel "Forsaken", which followed Haytham's perspective from his childhood. If anything, blame whoever wrote for Black Flag for writing Edward as such a great character despite his pre-determined fate 😂

Read the Assassin’s Creed Forsaken novel by Oliver Bowden. Edward went beast and was exhausted but was taken by surprise and that is how he was killed. It’s been a while since I read that book so I think I’m remembering correctly

Birch is the guy who who hired the mercenaries and took Haytham's sister. Years later Haytham saves Jennifer from human trafficking and they kill Birch. Haytham chooses to stay with the Templats because its theinly life he's ever known and Jennifer despite having Assassin training chose not to get involved in the war between the Templars and Assassins

I honestly think they should done it like this: Jennifer gets kidnapped before she could warn Edward about Birch and she would be used as bait to lure Edward into a trap. Edward then receives a ransom note that gives away the location of where she’s being held, knowing that Edward would try to rescue his daughter. Edward then arrives and it seems like a normal rescue mission until he and Jennifer arrive at either the Jackdaw or the horse Edward rode to the hideout when a huge amount of Templars come out of nowhere and Edward makes a final stand so Jenny could escape and he ends up fighting Birch in a 1v1 duel where Birch almost loses but then pulls out a pistol and mortally wounds Edward.

That was an era ubi where not afraid of tragedy. I mean look at AC rogue, as Shay you basically crippled the continent assassins (literally in Achilie's case) you kill Adewale. You kill Arno's father... the assassin's where having a rough go of it. Ezio's time was the last known era of assassin glory.

His daughter jennifer would eventuslly be sold as a slave to a sultan. Haytham's spies found her and he went there to save her. Then they went to Birch's home and killed him together. After all that, she went to live in the Kenway mansion in London if I'm not mistaken. Where she lived until she passed away, Haytham helped support her whilst she was there if I'm not mistaken.
