the dude on the bike with his kid, the kid with the drone, the crazy dude with the golf cart, the rad lady with the longboard, the cop on a skateboard, that whole skateshop crew... all these different characters coming together to support one dude on a skateboard. I seriously got emotional and so stoked at the same time watching that final push with the street full of people cheering you on. Truly a historical moment for skateboarding, im not even exaggerating.

Honestly, I think Chad might be the most mentally healthy and balanced person I’ve ever seen. i think Nietzsche had a word for the disillusionment that an adult in their 40s goes through about how they imagined the world would turn out as a child vs. how it really is, i have long since forgotten the word though (and i dont speak german). i think a LOT of us (40somethings) are going through that though. dont be afraid to reach out, nobody is alone and not every conversation NEEDS to end in a solution, sometimes just the conversation itself can do a world of good.

I’m so sad that the daily vlogs are officially no longer :( I started watching daily on day 5 when I saw the “ran out of water in the desert” video in my feed. And that was almost 2 whole months ago. I remember my first thought being that there was simply NO WAY he would pull this thing off. But once he made it through Texas, I began to realize it was very possible. So proud of this guy overcoming such an insane challenge.
