Coming back to the tier list, it is hilarious there is zero Calyrex-S in top 8. What exactly happened?

I've been using a Reshiram + Malamar team in reg G which took me to Master Rank. The idea is that Reshiram gets Draco meteor and Overheat both moves lowers Sp. Atk. by 2 stages but using skill swap with Malamar on Reshiram, contrary gives Reshiram a +2 Sp. Atk. boost each time it uses Draco meteor or Overheat both moves also get STAB bonus on Reshiram. This is one way I could find use of Reshiram which is legit.

Caly S and Miraidon being arguably the top 2 restricteds really makes me wonder how ting lu hasn't cought up into caly I and Zama teams (or any physical restricted for that matter)

The problem with ting lu in this format is that its a really passive piece that doesnt match the pace of the rest of the format. It also really struggles into a lot of the partners on miraidon and caly-s teams so its not even a reliable check.

Im a little higher on zacian then you. I think i put it and lunala in the same teir as a mon that the player base who uses them seem to be stronger players and if the worlds meta breaks the right way for them then they could make a major run. And i totally agree with your general breakdoen of zamazenta. Ive played it all reg and peaked at 1820 on the b01 showdown ladder. I find it works best on agressive teams where zam will pivot betweem being the offense and being the mon that enables others to put out strong offense. I dont exoect it win worlds, but i think it sits around kyogre as a mon that has a punchers chance of winning worlds. my top 5 are: calys, miriadon, ogre, zam. Then pagos, zacian and koriadon rounding out the list of mons i think as even having a chance to top 8, let alone win worlds.

You can kind of draw a line between before and after Fairy was a type. Part of the reason that so many restricted mons are Dragon-type is probably because it was so strong and played into their strength and why the type was so strong for so long. It may just be me reading too much into it, but it's interesting. Feels like all the Legendaries since Gen 6 have had a spot.

⁠@@LIN61609Lugia is surprisingly not terrible (it actually has a couple decent tournament results), but it’s completely outclassed by Terapagos. That’s why D tier makes sense. Usable, but not optimal.

As soon as he put the turtle in b teir I just laughed because he doesn’t know anything about comp and goes off ladder percentage not tournament play which is way way diff the 3 mons your gonna see is moridon both horses maybe koridon because scarlet has better parodox mons and zamazenta is a extremely good check for any team because he plays so well into all these restrictions but this guy doesn’t understand ladder vs tournament
