I loved that they took over their characters when M9 arrived - really didn't know how Matt was going to pull that off. Maybe by just letting one or two of them speak but that would have been a little bit of a let down I think? So great hearing their original voices. And they're professional actors so I knew they could just switch to their other characters. Side note, I once had to play someone else's character cause they couldn't make it to one of our D&D sessions and I had my character and their character speak to each other and it was wild, LOL! I think I pulled it off cause the table laughed and thought it was really entertaining, haha! I can't wait for this big fight! I really hope they divide this into 3 sort of mini series like EXU - maybe each group gets 2-3 episodes. It would be kinda cool to let all these different missions breathe and have room to go in whatever direction they could go. Also, doing that could take us to the end of the year where they could have a clean break and start C4 sometime early next year. Fingers crossed!

CR has had eight years worth of multiple campaigns containing multiple characters with entire stories built built around positive or generally beneficial portrayals of faith and religion. Anyone genuinely suggesting Matt or any of the players are "letting their real life feelings influence them to get rid of the deities", just because after a decade we are finally getting a story that a offers contrasting viewpoint, are really just hunting for reasons to be upset.

33:22 interesting 🤔 lolz same because i feel like Robbie said he will just be his normal character and be the anchor so will he be at the table with them for the M9 and VM episodes ? to me he would need to be at the table to be the anchor but i may be misinterpreting what hes saying.

Thank you for the recommendation of The Wizard, the Witch and the Wild One. I finally got around to it and have smashed through the first 20 episodes in a week. It is amazing. As for people getting their knickers in a bunch about Matt projecting his personal feelings about religion on to his work... it's HIS work (obvs with input from all the others) but it is his. If he wants to make everyone walk upside down, he can. It. Is. His. Work. It staggers me that not only do consumers of any content feel that they have any kind of right to dictate what a creator does, also that sometimes creators listen. It's fine if you don't like something, walk away. There is so much stuff out there, go find something to love, rather than constantly moan about things. (That turned rather more into a rant than I was expecting - soz - soapbox put away)

Why do people have to walk away? CR thrives off their fan interaction. But what? It has to all be positive? If people don't like the direction they have every right to criticize. That doesn't mean the cast has to listen or change. They all have their big panties on. They don't need you to run interference for them.

On top of that, there's SO much precedence for a pantheon of gods who have their own motives, alignments, imperfections, etc. The Iliad is rife with these notions. Look at the Aesir. The Egyptian pantheon had conflicts. Son Wukong was a mortal asshole before he achieved all his immortalities. Also the DnD gods, whom the exxandrian gods are almost 1 to 1 inspired by, all have their specific portfolios that limit their sphere of influence, and that influence is sometimes inherently selfish. Gods are people, too. Even Yahweh got bored enough to make itself a human and flip some merchants' tables.

I agree that Sam may very well have Braius betray the party for Asmodeus, but I expect he will be very sure to do it in a way that doesn't interfere with the rest of the party's ability to achieve a satisfying ending. I am thinking of Arkhan stealing Vecna's hand at the Vecna fight, which was true to his evil character and didn't diminish the party's win at all.

I believe they were on the Ruidus side when they encountered the creature, so it could be that is is on the other side and that’s why nobody has encountered it at the lake village. Also I can’t wait to see Braius’es reaction to Jester (she ruined his life).

The creature was definitely encountered on Exandria, not Ruidus.

They were hanging out in the village on the exandria side before some of them being lured to the lake entity, but that does give me the idea that maybe the reason it's considered "dormant" right now is it actually escaped to ruidus and it's now haunting the cave system. Oooooweeee 😂

is Braius and his relation to Asmodeus part of the reason we had the appearance of Zerxus in LoVM? That scene in the show, as I understand it, does not happen in Campaign 1. Could we see Luis make an appearance before C3 takes its bow?

I feel like there is a huge possibility that sams new evil ish character could definitely be a good mcguffin for the the bad stuff happening and the world ending maybe even its an accident just because of his connection to the devil and he can’t even stop it would be big buy sad for him

Am I the only one here that remembers the Archheart telling them that the gods were going to make their move when the two armies meet? I feel like none of them remember that they were told that and continued making war plans never mentioning it to Allura or anybody else... am I misremembering?

Every time the group has decided on the anti Ludinus direction, the DM inserts a reason to be against the gods instead. ‘Well, that didn’t work, maybe I’ll try just inserting a God that tries to convince them….’ It certainly feels like that’s the direction Matt wants things to go and it all lines up with CR wanting to wash their hands if Wotc.

Matt’s gonna let them choose whatever direction he wants at the end he just wants it to be a hard decision which is why the more they learn the more the waters are muddied. Personally I’m hoping for some in party combat at the end the kind of betrayal due to beliefs that lead to Anakin and Obi-wan doing battle would be very interesting in a well roleplayer dnd party like theirs.

I really hope we get at least a short 10-20 minutes section or even just all 3 groups in the same room at the same time dont even have to talk to much i get it would be hard but would be so cool to really have that averaged moment full on plus so funny to watch them do it 😂😂😂 i do think it could be annoying as a whole episode though 😅we will see what we get!!
