Alex was more of an exotic car guy. When I watched him work on this truck he was clueless to what to do with a great ole American truck. He bought it because he wanted a cool truck but wasn’t the right guy to rebuild it.

@@MissionRestomod That's actually a good way to put it. It's really what killed his progress on this build for sure. Between changes in the custom kits and what ever Gas Monkey did to modify stuff that's where the progress stalled. It certainly wasn't just a bolt on project. Each of us has our own way. I, for instance, am an idiot rebuilding/modifying a '67 Cougar in my garage. I'm positive that if Diebold got a hold of it there is plenty to laugh at. I also guarantee there are folks that have paid Diebold type money for a job worse than I'm doing. In the end I'll have the car I want with no one to blame but me.

I was going to ask that question if it is the same truck that kid pick up from the salvage yard from the Gas Monkey build. The kid was trying to bring it back, but I don't think he had the skills to take it over the truck needed. It needed to be in more exspirance hands to take it to the next level.

Absolutely grateful that you took this project on as an avid gas, monkey fan and fanatic. This was in my opinion, their best project other than perhaps F 40. It was dentin for failure from the start, but the poor truck it was given another chance with Alex, and although he gave it his best, and really did try hard, he butchered it And I’m so happy that you got it and fixed it with an incredible I for detail I’m very similar in the way I work on all of my projects and it was so satisfying to see you take the time to use all of the correct tools, especially the laser level to align the cab properly. So many good trucks that you see when you look closely don’t have that kind of attention you’ve done an amazing job and you should be very proud of yourself. Good work mate

What a ride this thing has been though. I've followed the journey of this truck since GMG's initial build. To Alex getting his hands on it. To Diebold somehow adopting it and finally giving it the proper love it definitely needed. Super clean job on this thing. Now.. hopefully this owner doesn't get in a wreck. It’s great to see this truck back in the road. Great job. Now I’m going to delete the views of your vids from my watch history. You complain too much about things that are just part of the job. The rear end was just mocked up and you had to make a huge deal out of not having a gasket on it. Yes the welds should have been burnt in before powder coating. The original gushes looked better. The led lights look like shit. Alex made better vids than you. I wish he would have finished it, but it was more than he could handle, it seems. At least he knew his limits, no need to knock a guy for it. I won’t be subscribing or buying any merch. Have a great day.
