The thing is that they didn't actually lose that weight, they cut that weight. They did lose some weight for sure but a lot of the "lost" weight was purely from dehydrating themselves for a while. Pro fighters do it all the time to make weight for fights and when they rehydrate they go back up 10-15 pounds. Vardon looks like the only one who lost a lot of weight.

For sure, especially as he’s been given a lot of positive reinforcement for his weightless ☺️ plus he’s going to have more growth spurts before 18 and even beyond - up to 21. I was kind of short and a little chubby as a kid, the youngest in the family. By 13/14 puberty hit me I had a huge growth spurt (so painful I can still remember the aches in my legs 🥺) and I then become the most lean & also tallest out of my older siblings ☺️ even got to do some professional modelling at 18/19. If anything, if you took two guys who were 6"2 and both were in perfect shape, and weighed around 215, but one gained 5 pounds every week, and the other lost 5 pounds every week, the one losing 5 pounds would die first. But if you're just barely underweight or just barely overweight, the one just barely underweight would probably live longer. Moral of the story, both are bad

Good luck! If you need help, I watched some videos by Jordan shrinks on YT, & she’s a good resource. But cutting out sodas/energy drink & fast food can be a great start. Moving from there, don’t buy much boxed or packaged food (like sugary cereals), and basically reading the ingredients to help cut down on high fructose corn syrup & sugar. I track my calories in life sum or myfitnesspal. Get up and move-even if it’s just walking 20 minutes 3x a week. Stick to it for 3 weeks, so it becomes a habit & increase the difficulty & days each week. Eat 7 servings fruit/vegetables a day. Shop the outer perimeter of the grocery store-fresh & colorful fruits, vegetables, meat/protein, beans. Oatmeal & nuts are good. Roasting frozen or fresh vegetables is easy on a cookie sheet with olive oil. And I make frozen fruit & fresh spinach smoothies. Once your body gets used to not having so much sugar and fat, it gets easier. I started to crave fruit instead of candy. Search “Whole Foods list” to find good options of non-processed foods. Look for food high in fiber, vitamins, or protein.

Valeria Estrada you’re welcome. If you ever really get stuck, weight watchers taught me a LOT when I was got discouraged, & I lost over 20lbs going. It gave me accountability & taught me the basics. I also was able to keep that weight off. It’s also worked for 2 other people who I know who joined. Otherwise,tracking food and calories in a free app became the easiest option. After the first couple weeks, where you may lose a few pounds, 2 pounds a week is the most fat you can lose in one week. Losing any more and you lose muscle too. There are some weeks where I might only lose 1/2 a pound, but that’s ok, I would keep going. Weight can fluctuate for many reasons, so weighting in just once a week at the same time is best. But I’m happy to answer any questions you want. You can become that happy, healthy person you imagine in your head, you just have to change your daily routine & create new habits to reach those goals. One part is planning, so planning exercise and your food each week (at least loosely at first) will help. How are you going to help yourself reach your goal this week? What social situations will you be in where you will be around food? Look up calories of restaurant food to plan ahead. Most chain restaurants have online menus with nutrition info online. Eventually you learn basics, like Grilled is always better than fried. Deciding ahead of time can help stay on track. Here is the key **NOW is the easiest time to lose weight. The older you get, the longer you wait, the more difficult it is.** But also, everyone can create new habits. There are plenty of people who lose weight healthily; and it doesn’t have to cost a lot of $. There are exercises you can do using your own body weight to build muscle (no equipment) like pushups & squats, free beginner yoga and cardio classes on yt. Plus walking is one of the best exercises for everyone! And jumping rope burns a lot of calories. So get motivated, have a good reason, educate yourself on HOW to lose weight healthfully, make a plan, and you can do it! If you have any questions, you can always ask me though this comment too...I try to check my replies....and for resources, i trust mayoclinic and webmd. Be careful of fad diets or extreme diets. Also, most resources should have free info. Also, while dieting, take a daily multivitamin-it’s especially needed.
